Default Torts and the two minute review.. Irony from 2004?

So torts is fuming about the goalie interference call on their supposed goal against dallas. Does he remember of the exact non call that won him a cup?

I just wish Tortorella would shut his face, regardless of the topic.

Can you post up the rant, or is there video? I saw the play and him yelling on the bench yesterday... it was a pretty bad call.

I'd like to see a system similar to Rugby's TMO brought in. Seems like the best replay system to translate to hockey.

Exactly... I'm one of those flames fan that will never let that go. I can't imagine how much that haunts the players that were cheated out of their Stanley cup cause it haunts me to this day

Torts should keep his mouth shut for that... He has a Stanley cup ring that he doesn't deserve because of poor video review. He should remind himself of that every time his team ever has a missed call and he wants to complain... Cause the biggest missed call in hockey history got him a Stanley cup.

Stop whining about a non-call from a decade ago. Nobody on the ice, meaning the players from either team and the officials didn't notice and play went on. What are they supposed to do? Go to the next face-off and say "Oh, actually, we don't need to drop the puck. Calgary, you win the Stanley Cup." ???

And I was at the game, FFS. Nobody noticed.

Just watch the YouTube video of it and listen to the lightning announcers... They even say it's in and are shocked that the refers are just dropping the puck.

I was behind the net (in the 2nd level) and I did think it had gone in- the guy beside me happened to have been taking pictures and I remember saying "I think its in check your camera" as he wasn't so sure- of course we were too far away to really make any kind of judgement

wasn't til intermission though that word started really buzzing as people were on the phone to those watching on TV what had happened

I was in section 225 which was basically the best part to see that ... the reaction for a lot of people was to stand up, say yeah ... and then there was a "oh wtf?!". Instant reaction was I thought it was a goal when I saw it happen live ... but then just assumed it wasn't, and then the controversy happened.

Hull's goal on Hasek says hi.

I'm assuming you forgot the green text. Next you're going to say nobody noticed the sky is blue. The puck was in, Calgary won. It's not whining it's stating a fact.

That's more debatable as to whether or not hull had control of the puck... This was officials not doing their due diligence to go to video review in the most important of circumstances. Forget what you know you saw if you were in the stands... It was close enough that they should have gone upstairs and, had they done that, there is no question that it was a goal. The video is conclusive. You can see the white between the puck and the goal line. Even the Tampa bay announcers who were rooting for the lightning thought it was in and were shocked that the refs were dropping the puck.
