Although the registry has the address wrong, I believe it's supposed to be 742 Evergreen Terrace....or did Homer sell out to Hank Scorpio?

Can't say I saw this coming. WestJet will start service to Dublin next summer.

The introductory fares are insanely good.

http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1262...to-our-network

737-700 direct from St. John's will be used.

Woah, big surprise!

Just like Air Canada operating St. John's to London Heathrow with the A319 in the summer.

It will be interesting to see what AC does with those fares in particular now.

Cost structure is to high to make this feesible for anyone likely west of Ontario to take advantage.

Very interesting move. I would have expected more US destinations announced first to build the NA market before dipping their toe with international flights.

I have a feeling it might be dropped. Going to the UK adds about $150-$180 in extra taxes/fees tht goes to UK government that you don't get going to Ireland. Already a higher cost structure, plus you get the AC gouge for being only carrier hoping over the ocean.

Lower there prices, on a route that has a built in higher cost structure? AC will probably try to find better use out of there plane.

Either that or it's cut entirely... not sure I'm a huge fan of this new WS route if it's at the expense of AC's YYT-LHR.

Just in case some don't follow the video thread.

EDIT: Oh and that's almost the best landing I've ever seen model or not.

STeeLy, took those up in YEG?

That DHL 767-200 is operated by Airborne Express, and has operated CVG-YYC-YEG-YYC-CVG yesterday and again today. I think it is a new cargo route on behalf of DHL.
