He scored 8 points in one game once... totally worth it.

Also Yakupov taking his more ice time requests into his own hands had a shift of 1:45 and 1:18.

Really don't mind those new Stars jerseys. Clean and simple.

Any idea the record for being consecutively shutout at home? A quick search didn't turn up anything. I'd love to see Edmonton raise a banner for this.

These days we could have a thread titled OOT, Oilers lose at home again and stick it to the top of the forum. Pretty soon they are going to run out of all possible ways to lose hockey games.

it would be curious as to what is the longest streak being shutout. I am sure by time we wake up in the morning the internet will deliver.

Stolen from some guy on twitter, so if its wrong its his fault:

The last time a team had -100 or more goal differential, Pittsburgh in 03-04, also the last time a team allowed more than 300 goals

Edmonton's GAA went down after this game.

Remember that time Justin Schultz chose to play for Edmonton rather than Edmonton?

Wow Dubnyk was the least of the Oilers problems, no effort in their own end.

but the big story is Yak not only taking extended shifts but trying to do it himself.

I will say that Hall doesn't impress me all that much, he's got the physical tools but man he makes a lot of dumb plays out there.

After this debacle where he was made to look like a fool by Nail, Eakins really needs to go.

It's funny how it doesn't even feel like they are on the verge of turning this around... It doesn't even feel like a slump. It feels like they don't have anyone on their team that even thinks they are going to win going into a game

I'm assuming you mean Anaheim... but yeah, he's got to be looking that that situation and saying to himself... well, ####, I ####ed that one up

Dallas with long blond hair...long lost brothers? maybe a stretch but for some reason he always reminds me of dave, the way he talks too

its the jaw line...don't make me photoshop the hair

Not a chance school children in Edmonton would tell Dave he sucks though

I believe it's the 1928-29 Blackhawks being shut out eight times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1928%E2...k_Hawks_season

to be fair Dave would probably be doing a better job of coaching the Oilers

I was just thinking about that myself. I thought I heard the TSN crew call him out on it a couple times.
