I'll be honest, I was kind of hoping the Oilers pulled out a goal and a shoot out victory there. Regular season late game heroics are loved in Edmonton it would have given Kevin Lowe atleast 6 more months.

Our northern neighbours are terrible. I hate the oilers but as a hockey fan I feel for there fans holy have they been through a lot the last couple years. On their forums many people are saying there done with the team lol. A team with a lot of promise is just disgraceful. I believe they set a franchise record for most games they got shut out too.

don't worry, I'm sure Eakins saw lots of potential and improvement anyway.

Man it feels good to watch the oilers embarrass themselves night after night. This is starting to be pretty epic.

Yeah them there gonna get there ass beat hard Saturday

Coaching in Edmonton is like putting lipstick on a fat bloated dead pig. Blame the lipstick all you want, still doesn't cover up the rigormortis of the dead bloated pig.

Not to worry, Bryzgalov will solve their scoring woes!

Lets not forget that the Stars managed only one measily goal on Dubnyk tonight. Lets hope the Stars come out tomorrow like they did tonight. We might have a chance to score first for once.

Darren Haynes ‏@DarrenHaynes_CP
Last time the #Oilers scored on home ice, Igor Larionov was still playing in the league. Oh man.

So it's the worst start in Oiler's history now. A team that drafted first overall 3 years in a row and hasn't made the playoffs in nearly a decade apparently hadn't hit their lowest point. Ouch.

The Sabres are one point back of the Oilers and have their first game under Nolan on Friday, so the Oilers should be in 30th by the end of the day on Friday.

MacT needs to trade more than just one on the "big 4". IMO Hall needs to go. He might actually have some value, and certainly isn't helping them in any way now.

Oilers should do a video tribute for their last home goal next game.
