Three stars should be easy to guess.

Blair Jones (3g 2a)
Ben Street (2g 2a)
Joni Ortio (40+ saves) or maybe Michael Ferland (3 assists)

3 assists for Ferland. I like.

Where the heck was Granlund?

Ortio should have been one, however they gave one to Sceviour and his 2 goal game.

What an awesome stretch this has been. Very exciting hockey coming from the Heat. The issue is conditioning.. We've had great Octobers and Novembers before and then collapsed in the new year. The Heat have a Lewis and Clarke esque travel schedule.

I believe that is 7 points in three games for Ferland now, since being bumped up onto a line with Jones and Street. Way to take advantage kid.

This is awesome. Would have never imagined such a young team would go on to get 8 straight wins. I really like how all of our prospects are in a winning culture.

It would be interesting to see him get a call up this year. If memory serves he was one of the last guys sent down from training camp.

I like this kid. I like his heart, his grit, and his attitude. He'd fit in well with the young guys on the team.

Ferland was in the second last group to be cut.

Last group was Berra, Horak and Sieloff

He was cut on the 23rd with Reinhart, Knight and Kanzig.

Blair Jones is now scoring at a point-per-game pace after that display... Shame that Hartley doesn't like him, as he'd be a logical guy to have on the 4th line.

Breen has been assigned to Abbotsford on a conditioning stint. Interesting how the Flames are really reluctant to expose him to waivers.

Too bad Blair Jones couldn't do this in the NHL.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Breen put on waivers tomorrow, and the Flames recall Reinhart again after he clears. Right now, the Flames have 8 healthy d-men and 13 healthy forwards, where most teams usually prefer 14 and 7.
I think it more likely they end up demoting Smith again.

I think the Flames are scared to put Breen on waivers because they might lose him. I think he'll stay with the big club most of the year unless he proves he just isn't NHL worthy.
