Did I hear some boo-birds in the dome there? I wouldn't blame them. Rebuild or not, just no heart or hustle tonight from anyone.

Well, morning comes early and I have seen this movie too many times before. Flames will get within one late in the game and then ultimately fall short. Later gang.

6 shots in two periods on home ice? I expect more

We are lucky to only be down 2. The fans should booo these guys and their pathetic play.

OK, off topic- but question- I was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday, just in one lung. One treatment and all, but has anyone had it and if so, how long did it take to get rid of it? I've never had it. (intermission talk)

He's been one of the only guys playing with any urgency to his game, and he's playing with speed. The rest of our forwards, apart from Jones look terrible.

Even the men of Easy Company feel awful about how badly Berra is getting shelled

The strategy is to lull San Jose's goalie to sleep, everything is going according to plan.

Berra with a .929 sv% after 40. Kept the team within reach really.

All we need is one good play or lucky bounce to completely change the momentum of this game, it can still come around. If Berra keeps up his play and the Flames keep the trend of coming out strong in the 3rd, maybe something can happen here.

Sharks broadcast commenting on how quiet the dome is tonight. That's embarrassing.

The Calgary Flames are sold to be a team lacking skill and talent but one that maintains a high effort and compete level. Tonight is a good display of what can happen if they don't bring the latter....

Well with 6 shots through 2 I don't see what anyone's supposed to cheer about.

To be fair this is the best team in Hockey they're playing, regardless of what the standings say.

Trying to be positive so I guess being able to witness the first shutout of Alex Stalock's NHL career is something right? More memorable than this horrific stinker of an effort by the Flames.

Honestly, the hockey player interview is the most useless interview in sports. I'd have no problem if I never saw another one.

He is our worst forward on the ice tonight without question.

Stajan, Galiardi and Jones all better against tougher competition.

Monahan has been fairly invisible, Stemps has been better.

Backlund, Hudler, Cammy all better.

Coldy and Bouma both better.

People need to not have a teary when someone points out a player is doing bad. I'm holding him to same standard as everyone else and by that standard, he's terrible. Kid has absolutely 0 presence on the puck. If you are gonna be a small offensive guy you need to generate offense, he isn't doing that, so what's the point?

George Johnson ‏@GeorgejohnsonCH 3m Fewest-ever Flames shots in a game - 8, that immortal '95 squadron. So you can breathe easy.
