Every AFC team with a 500 or better record is in the playoffs right now. I think the Chiefs could lose their next 7 games and still end up as the 5 seed. Lots of teams in the mix for the playoffs, but thats because 500 might be good enough to get in. I personally hope the Browns can get in, but the Jets really only need to go 4-3 vs everyone elses 5-2. Although that AFC North might end up being a 3 way tie of 9-7 teams, maybe stranger if Pittsburgh can play spoiler.
It does seem like every week something happens that impacts the potential playoff scenarios. Two weeks ago the Packers looked like a real SB contender, now they could be in tough just to make the playoffs. The Eagles offence was a mess, now they look like a solid bet to win the NFC East.
Today I would say Detroit and Philly will be in the playoffs, two weeks ago those teams were Green Bay and Dallas.

Ed Reed has been released by the Texans...retirement time?
Dwayne Bowe arrested....legalize it already!
Quote:
Police say an officer was parked and using radar on West Platte Road and N.W. Business Park at about midnight on Sunday, Nov. 10., when they say Dwayne Bowe was detected going 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.
The police officer pulled over the black, 2011 Audi A8 and when he approached the car to talk to the driver, the officer said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana.
After requesting the driver and passengers get out of the car, the officer, along with the K-9 unit dog, looked inside the car and inside a black bag, where Bowe’s wallet and identification were discovered, along with two containers that had 6.6 grams and 3.8 grams of what the officer believed was a controlled substance.
The dog then alerted the officer to a black backpack, where the officer said another container was found that had 4.2 grams of suspected marijuana inside it.

The Seahawks are going to become the most attractive destination for NFL free agents.

Don't rule out the Broncos! Just a matter of "Do I prefer snow or do I prefer rain?"

Some Chiefs fans have noted that maybe Bowe's lack of production this year, is due to heavy marijauna use. Hard to say, the way Smith refuses to force any passes. However, it is a huge slap in the face to the organization after the Hunt's came to the table giving Bowe a $56 million dollar contract.

Sorry. Was referring to the NFL media.
That line does surprise me though. I would think there are a lot of takers for the Chiefs and those points right now.

Running back Willis McGahee, signed after Cleveland sent Trent Richardson to Indianapolis, has 12 more yards rushing as a Brown than Richardson does as a Colt. Perhaps GM Michael Lombardi knows what he's doing after all.

You must be looking for the disrespect than. I think pretty much every NFL media person is saying the Bronco's are the better team. Now there are probably a few Chiefs homers trying to make a case for the Chiefs but really I think you have to ignore the 20% of outlandish types as people just trying to get attention. But I have yet to see anyone with any credibility who has suggested Denver is not the better team. I have seen some suggest that maybe the Chiefs are closer to the Bronco's than some would think just that the two teams play a completely different style of game.
I'm interested to see how the matchup goes down. The Chiefs pass rush has been halted the past two weeks. They've had a bye to do some self scouting. The Chargers did do a pretty good job of stopping the Bronco's when Manning started to feel that ankle. I think the Chiefs would have to score at least 28 points to win the game, and I don't think they can do it without a defensive or special teams TD. If the pass rush can force some quick decisions and the cover guys can disrupt routes, than maybe they can limit the damage against. I still think Denver wins the game 31-10 though, I really don't like how the Chiefs offensive line is playing.

The running game is pretty much now a luxury. The severe slant in the rules towards the passing game in the last decade has basically made the running game a time killer rather than a way to produce offense.

Nothing surprises with me being a Dolphins fan anymore. Our team is a disgrace from top to bottom. Nothing has changed since our slow decline in the late 90s. To sum up the last 14 years.
We had Jay Fiedler as a starting QB....... (Wasted a top 3 defence with the likes of Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Ogunleye, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain)
We then decided to replace Jimmy Johnson with Dave Wannstedt. He ruined the Bears back in the day and he ruined the Dolphins. He overworked our pot smoking running back in Ricky Williams, who basically burnt out and quit on the team before the start of the 2004 season. That essentially was the end of Wanny as a football coach, the Dolphins started the season at 0-6.
In 2005 we hired Nick Saban who decided under Miamis awesome doctors that Daunte Culpeppers knee recovered better then Drew Brees shoulder.....Yah we all know how that ended up. Where is Culpepper these days? Followed that up by Nick Sabans famous press conference "I will not be the Alabama Head Coach".....Well we all know how Saban jumped ship at the end of 2006 to yah guess where Alabama.
We then hired Cam Cameron to run the show who magically picked Ten Ginn Jr. as the #9 overall pick and Jonathon Beck in the second round.....Well we know how well that turned out. We went 0-13 before our starting QB Cleo Lemon hit Camarillo against the Ravens in OT to win our only game. Saved us from a winless season.
In 2008 Sparano became coach and we brought in Pennginton and won the division all in part to Brady getting a knee injury and the wildcat...that NE vs Miami game is the only time ever I've seen Bellicheck get out coached. Sparano failed to build off that and failed to adjust as teams adjusted to the wildcat. We got worse year after year. We went 0-7 to start 2011 and Sparano got fired near the end of the year.
In 2012 came Philbin and hear we are today in the middle of scandals, losing to an 0-8 bucs team and wasting away a 3-0 start because our coaching staff fails to make the proper adjustments week in and week out. Max protection for our QB would be a start possibly.....,would it not? Like am I the only person who fails to see that. When Brady first started for the Pats they had Oline issues so they were running 2 men routes.
The life of a dolphins fan is just fantastic......FML!
There is more, I just don't have enough alcohol at home to drown my sorrows in.
Yet come Sunday afternoon as a true fan....I will once again have hope that we can turn this season around and beat the Chargers at home. Only to have that shattered I'm sure.
