Icon60 Stamkos left the ice on a stretcher with broken tibia

The Boston Bruins lead the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 in the second period at TD Garden. Steven Stamkos, the NHL's leader in points and goals, left the ice on a stretcher after appearing to injure his right leg. Stamkos slid in to the net and caught his right leg on the post, he attempted to get up before falling back to the ice.

ugh that's tough to see, on the video it looks like the first thing Stamkos says to the trainer is "it's broke"

Sorry for being OT but Duchene doesn't need a spot to be opened

Sure hope Stamkos isn't out long and is healthy for the Olympics.

Let's hope it's just broken bones and there are no damaged ligaments or muscle tears. Ugly injury. Stamkos trying to get up and then falling back down and slamming the ice with his fists, jeez, tough guy, tough to watch.

Olympics is 3 months away. That looks bad. I don't think he'll be ready in time.
