A natural hat trick is 3 goals in a row by one player in one period.

A natural hat-trick is three consecutive goals, but do they all have to be in the same period, or directed at the same net? I always forget. A lot of people seem to have differing definitions on this one. Either way, Morgan Klimchuk, one of the Calgary Flames' first round picks from June scored three goals in a row—at 15:43 of the first, 18:16 of the first and 4:18 of the second—in a four-point effort that saw him wind up as the first star in a 5-2 Regina win over reeling Lethbridge.

For me, a natural hat trick is how it's described in Wikipedia:
"when a player scores three consecutive goals, uninterrupted by any other player scoring for either team."
Period limit seems artificial to me, and the most important part is that there can be no goals in between.

The whole thing is artificial, that's what you find "artificial?"
Either way, I'm glad it was our player with the hat trick.

I'm really excited about this kid. He is a good bet to win a roster spot in the WJHC this year, and his team is also likely to have a long playoff run. I have every expectation that he will turn pro next year, and won't be the least bit surprised if he makes the team out of camp.

Even if you are only right on one or two of those things that is still impressive.

It looks like both DeBlouw and Harrison are sitting tonight, so there only three College games with Flames prospects playing.
Providence (Gillies, Jankowski, Gilmour) at Merrimack; Boston College (Gaudreau, Arnold) at Boston University; and Yale (Agostino) at Princeton, all games are at 7:00pm ET (5:00 MT).

Gaudreau already has a goal and assist after the first period.

Agostino has an assist for Yale, they lead 4-1 late in the second.
Providence's game is scoreless halfway through the second.

Nothing. Only that he played for the World Juniors at one point in time.

Gillies gets his 7th career shutout, setting a new Providence record. Friars wins 1-0.
Nothing for Janko or Gilmour.

Happy to see Gaudreau continue his dominance of NCAA Hockey. Gillies continues to be awesome.
Frustrating to see Janko go three games in a row with no points. Make me a believer Mark!

I can't wait for Johnny "Fleury" Gaudreau to wear Flames silks... He, Arnold and Gillies make me very happy.
Agostino and Gilmour and Deblouw and yadayada ... but those three guys! Man, they are going to be NHLers!
