A good teammate wouldn't do that even if they agreed with the decision. I am sure Sven is a great guy and they all love him. That doesn't mean they disagree with the coach.
Pretty sure I hear it a few times a year.

But even if Sven is dogging it..... I thought in his rookie year, he was a "first on the ice for practise, last off, always wants to learn more and asks a lot of questions" ...... somehow all of that went down the crapper the last year?

Ted Nolan coached two teams with okay results. He then tried to get his GM fired and acted like an a-hole and went to interviews unprepared. The only thing keeping Ted Nolan out of the NHL is Ted Nolan.

Don Hay had two coaching stints in the NHL with poor results. Not sure why he should get any more chances than that.

Dave King had two coaching stints in the NHL with mixed results. Again not sure what he has done to show he deserves anymore than what he got.

Alex Radulov left on his own and then when he came back he acted incredibly unprofessional and didn't want to play defense.

I am really not sure how any of these guys didn't get chances let alone come close to being out of the NHL because they didn't follow the "rules."

Sather keeps his job because he has Stanley Cup wins and is able to fool James Dolan who is a moron. Gillis has had one shot, his team has made the play-offs every year and made a Cup final. Is it really that hard to figure out why he has a job?

That wasn't my point...

He built chemistry with Hudler and Baertschi and that line was playing well and then genius Bob decides to break it up.

Did Sven do Hartley's wife or something equally as damning?
I find it hard for a guy to "find a way to get time on the ice" while sitting in the pressbox.

Agreed. You are bang on with this.

Benching Sven is affecting Monahan as well.

No. I'm saying you either support the public lashing or you don't. You can't pick and choose who does it or when you use it.

Out of thanks but you are correct on this one. The chemistry has been broken and that line is suffering because of it.

My favorite Jackman "mental Midget" play of the game is when at the start of the game, Hudler and Monahan had a 2 on 1 and Monahan almost scored, but if he did, the goal wouldn't have been counted as the ref blew the whistle because Jackman was back in the Flames end getting into a fight with a St. Louis Blues Plugger.

Great contribution Jackman.

Barret Jackman is a hell of a lot better than a plugger but I guess the point remains basically the same.

^Both Jackmans' going off for 5 is a great tradeoff for the Flames.

Actually except for that spearing major a few games ago Jackman has been solid in his role this season. Also looked really good in the preseason. You can't blame Jackman for this. This is all Bob Hartley.

The phrase I've bolded in your quote is exactly what i'm getting at. Likewise, you should think about who's opinions you are accepting when you say someone acted unprofessionally or 'had his chance' or tried to get his GM fired (that sounds like its against the club rules for a coach).

If you can't get along with your boss that isn't going against the rules of a coach that is going against the rules of any job. Going behind his back to get him fired is likely to get you fired from almost any job you have and not be desirable to get you rehired. That is not a NHL thing that is a job thing.

Throw in the fact that he reportedly showed up to job interviews unprepared to answer questions and acting like he deserved to be handed a job and it isn't him breaking any rules for NHL coaches it is him being a poor candidate.

Ted Nolan is a mediocre coach with a horrible attitude and an entitlement issue. That is what is keeping him from being a coach in the NHL not some BS he broke the NHL rules garbage.
