Default Safeway Score & Win

Has anyone ever won something from Safeway Score and Win?

If I won a Dyson Upright Vac I would throw it up on my wall in the TV room next to a pic of the Flame that lit the lamp and the Jar of Kraft Peanut Butter I purchased.

Nah, that would require shopping at Safeway.

Always wondered if I won something on a game I've missed, pretty sure Safeway has my address from 4 years ago

My Grandpa won a prize 7-9 years ago or so.

Cant remember what the prize was exactly, may have been a toolset.

The day somebody wins the million is the day that 2pac comes back from Cuba.

My mom won a few years ago, and she could never recall buying the pizza's that won it for her. As it turns out, I always have, and still use my folks phone # when I go in, and it was my frozen pizza that won her a DVD player.

I remember a while back, someone on this board knew the guy that won the first prize ever in score and win, a Turbografx 16, and contacted the guy as it was an old high school teacher of his. The video of the game is on youtube, it was from the beginning of the 1993 season I think.

My guess is that at one time Safeway took out insurance to cover the "if a flame scores 5 goals", but then in a cost cutting move they cancelled the policy since it is very unlikely this will ever happen.....

Why don't they give out how much it coats to insure the million dollar contract when a Flame scores 3 goals? Something like 10 k for a hattrick instead of insulting our intelligence with their current promo.

My Grandma has actually won twice. Once she got a watch, the other was a vacuum or something

I think this is the reason Sven isn't playing. Hartley thought it was scratch and win...

I've been entering since the day that you had to staple a box top from Catelli or something similar, then throw it in the bin at Safeway. Shut out for 25+ years.

An inordinate number of people that win from outside major centers on Calgary and EDM broadcasts seems odd. Considering how many people live in Calgary and Edmonton and shop in Safeway daily, surely it out numbers the shoppers from Strathmore, Lloydminster and Three Hills, yet almost every night there's someone from Nowheresville MB or Buttcrack SK winning.

A company I worked for used to underwrite the Score and Win jackpot, since it is basically a 25 year annuity contract.

Or make it a huge prize!

Like 100 000 000! How much do you think the insurance contract on that would be? The liklihood is around 1ce/60 years. So if they spent 2 million insuring the contract per year, they could make it a 100mln dollar prize.

My dad was once up for the million dollars on the Oilers broadcast. No Oilers scored five goals and to this day he doesn't know when the hell he ever had his own Safeway club card.
