Giordano probably out at least that long.
Stempniak out.
Holes on defence. Goaltending uncertain. Significant downward trend in points-per-game from games 1-8 to 9-15.
After 10 games I said to FDW that there's no way we're getting a top 5 pick this year. I might have to revise that prediction.

We've got the Blues tonight, Avs tomorrow and Sharks on Tuesday. I'll be happy if we get any points out of those three.
After that we've got a stretch of 5 very winnable games against Dallas, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Columbus, and Florida. Should be able to get 4-6 pts out of that.
It gets ugly again after that with Chicago, Anaheim, LA, Phoenix, and Colorado all in a stretch. (Feels weird to be including Colorado in the tough games to win category). Again, any points we get out of that will be found money.
Hopefully around then we'll see Stempniak and Giordano close to being ready to play. It's a mixed bag after that with very winnable games against Edmonton, Carolina and Buffalo but some tougher games against Boston (twice), Rangers, and Detroit. The Detroit game is around when Glencross should be back.
With the condensed Olympic schedule any long term injuries really hurt the roster. If Glencross is out the full 6 weeks that's 20 games he'll miss. At least during this stretch there are some easier games. Our schedule in January is pretty brutal.

It looks as though his minutes will be distributed between Galliardi, Jackman, and Bouma.
The only thing Glencross's injury is "good for" is a high draft position.

The only thing that will be missed is his ability to finish. All of the guys who will be eating up his ice time don't have the ability to finish as well as GlenX when given a golden opportunity. As for creating chances, I don't think GlenX will be missed at all.

I remember the good ol' days when no Flames player ever had a long term injury. Maybe a couple maintenance days here and there, but for a while we were so lucky to never have a long term injury to any of our top players. Then the last couple years, its like the hockey gods have smited us. Hope Glenner gets better and comes back stronger then ever.

Never do I think the team should not play to it's abilities, but when injuries pile up and hits them in the win-loss column all I think about is...

Who are the complete D-bags on this forum? I haven't seen one guy happy and rejoicing because a player got injured...
There's nothing wrong with certain people (myself included) wanting to hold Glencross accountable for his lack lustre play. Other than maybe two or three games, he has consistently been one of, if not the worst forwards on the team. That doesn't mean I'm sitting here praying the guy gets injured...

I want Glencross to get well but come back with the right attitude. And knock off the useless 1/2 slapshots.
Just when he was getting better, not great but better.

So far no one, that's good! It wasn't aimed at you or anyone saying that they want more from Glencross. It was more of a precursor to anyone that says something stupid like 'good, gives the kids a chance'. Not like it hasn't happened before.
Edit: look 2 posts below yours for reference to a complete d. bag.

It's too bad, I felt Glenny was finally starting to play like his old self again...

No he wasn't.
Yeah, he scored a few goals, but has looked completely lazy and sloppy. We've had that player before, his name was Rene Bourque

This means the flames have lost most of the leadership core of the team with gio, stempniak, and glencross out.

Let the flames devour them. Only the strong will come out of this season.
