Last week they were rippled Old Dutch instead of the plain kettle chips they used to have. Just not the same.

I paid $40 to park at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, $50 to park at a Bruins game, and $60 to park at a Red Sox game. $15 to park isn't really that bad. I do agree on accessibility, but I find it a lot better now that they have the police directing traffic. It was a nightmare before that. As for my personal pet peeve, I don't really have one (other than the prices of food and beer of course). The dome is one of the only rinks left that has character. Yeah, it's old and outdated, but to me, that's part of the appeal. I'd rather stay in the dome than move to some generic unoriginal rink. I'd almost like to see the dome become like Fenway or Wrigley where it's just an old historic barn that other people say "man I'd really love to go to a game at the Saddledome, it would be so cool. So much history there.".

I've been to the Saddledome twice in my life. The only thing I would change is the result of the second game I was at.

As a guy who grew up a Flames fan on the opposite side of the country, who never knew any other Flames fans, a trip to the Saddledome was surreal.

After seeing games in other NHL rinks, and being able to compare the Saddledome to all the other Canadian rinks, to me, the Saddledome is different and stands out. It's not the cookie cutter that the Bell Centre, Canadian Tire Centre and ACC are. I look at that as a unique thing and a good thing.

Going to the Saddledome was a religious experience for me. I'm glad it's different. I wish I could get there more. This June will mark 10 years since I've been in attendance there...

My peeve are people complaining about trivial things when I'd give my left nut to attend a game there.

On a side note, some people can't digest nuts and seeds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diverticulitis) which would mean they'd have to have a different bun. Not allowing the patron to have a different bun is like saying "oh you can't eat peanuts, and we could easily accommodate that... meh screw you"

Reading this thread I've realized there are several CP'rs I should not go to a game with as I will not make a good impression.

Country and Western Night

10 AC/DC songs per game

Not enough concerts

Just hang Stanley Cup or conference champion banners - no division winners

I would give my left nut to attend a Raiders game at the Oakland Coliseum (two attempts have fallen through but it will happen) but that doesn't change the fact that it's the worst stadium in the NFL by a longshot and I certainly wouldn't say it's trivial to the fans that live there and pay good money for season tickets.

I'd agree if we weren't talking about arena food. When you are charging $10 for $0.50 worth of food, increasing the cost of the food from $0.50 to $0.52 should be something the front line staff should be empowered to do with no arguments

Having a food lineup that starts right beside the washrooms behind section 104. Just adds to the congestion.

Although rarely leave a game early, I hate the moron Flames fans who scream at the Flames fans that are leaving early, and question whether these folks are real fans. As a season ticket holder, my favourite part is the fans that do it aren't other season ticket holders, they are in the section for the first time and are usually yelling at season ticket holders questioning their passion for the team. Given I'm there almost every game, I know that the peeps leaving early are usually one offs for those fans and they are there close to 40 times a year.

Point being, you don't know what's going on in other peoples lives or why they need to leave early, so shut your mouth.

Also, my point isn't that Season Ticket holders are the "true" fans, that has nothing to do with it. It's that it's ironic that it's usually some moron who makes it to 1 game a year, yelling at someone who makes 40 games a year and stays till the end 99% as though they aren't a real fan.

I loved the old Lanny Banner, It upsets me that the first Vernon banner sucked so much, that they decided to change both banners to something that sucked slightly less.

The Jersey is retired, a banner with a Jersey on it was perfect.

I do like Forever a flame banners, your honour players, so its a banner with a picture of the player on it. Make sense.

I agree. I went to the ACC for a Flames game a few years back. Although it is a "modern-era" arena, both my wife and I felt that it lacked something. It felt more like a mall on the concourse (tile floors, "finished" walls, etc.) than a hockey stadium. Sight lines were great, lineups were quicker, everything was brighter and cleaner, but it just seemed strange. I suppose that I have been conditioned all of these years.

You can't argue that the Saddledome isn't old, a bit rough around the edges, and has its fair share of quirks, but it is far from sterile and has a tonne of character. I like that.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't have a little moan about it, because this stuff will all feel pleasantly nostalgic when we have a bright, modern, shiny new building.

The vast majority of complaints about the Saddledome in this thread are about the people attending the games.

If you don't realize that idiot fans will also be in a new sterile arena, then your complaint is trivial.

Actually a lot of the complaints have to do with lines, congestion (person and vehicle), and food & beverage setups.

But people wise, there isn't much worse than people who say "BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING AND COMPLAIN ABOUT NOTHING."

You know, that holier than thou attitude, winning hearts one post at a time.

This thread is about pet peeves, why did you enter if you did not have pet peeves directly relating to your Saddledome experience? Just to tell people they aren't allowed to have pet peeves?

Ok cool.

10 whole minutes? Oh muffin...whatever will you do...
If you wait until the end of the 3 stars, the seats are pretty much empty.
