Can you elaborate on two of my earlier questions now?
When is GeORGe scheduled to be completed (and why is it being done so quietly, without any input from the industry stakeholders)?
When will new City Manager be announced and who are the candidates?

Does the city have any insight on what is happening with the Stoney trail extension?

As a reorganization, there a lot of human resourse/ personnel implications therefore it should be free of direct political and/or public influence. That said, there has been a lot of stakeholder feedback related to structure through Transforming Planning that has been heard by those managing the geORGe process. And those teams are coordinating to make sure their outcomes are mutually supportive.
The City Manager and Auditor position are the only two in Administration that Council have any influence over - through a search/hiring committee. As you can see the posting is is up but the process is still early.

Well, if CPAG and LUPP are merged, application streams are compartmentalized into manageable groups led by senior planners and CPC is eliminated as a result of all this, I am sure everyone will benefit. It's still very uncomfortable to know that such a major reorg is being done so hush-hush though. Can you at least share the target announcement/completion date for it?

What are the Mayor and your thoughts on the Uber car service? I know a lot of people that used them this weekend and it was great. Did anyone from the Mayor's office try it out?

Not sure if anyone in the office tried it out, however Bunk got to see me use it Friday night (it was a super duper secret CP/SSP night out).

Hmmm, don't think so. We always do during Doors Open though.

Two or three years ago tours were offered as part of your city hall open house. I suspect they will be offered again.

Great thread Bunk,
I recall a little while back that the city was shopping the Westbrook LRT station parcels(old Ernest Manning high school site). When could we expect to hear anything relating to these vacant lots and future development.
Its too bad that our only underground LRT station is not utilized to its best potential, I expected it would attract some significant investment by now.

Have to agree on this, Bunk. Respectfully, the City needs to get off its butt and move the redevelopment forward.

Bunk, will you be there for Open Doors at city hall during AUMA? I haven't bought tickets for OD but may do so. If we're both there I'll find you and would like to meet you. If so, maybe send me a PM with your name. I'll reply.
