I think Glencross has taken far more abuse than he deserves this season, however that play last night warranted all the criticism it got.

The key issue for me is that he had plenty of time. Every vet knows that when you fail to clear the zone on the PK when you get the chance, it usually doesn't end well.

He had the chance - he had a gaping chance - to clear the zone but that backhand looked effortless. I am sure it wasn't, it was probably due to a bad chip in the ice or something, but it looked horrible and it seemed to deflate the team.

Tough road building against a team that is really playing well. A key veteran that gets as much ice-time as anyone, can't make that mistake.

I only caught the highlights, but glad to see you reference the final goal as "an amazing skill goal".

That to me should be in consideration for goal of the year. That was a treat to watch, even as a fan of the opposing team.

If that's the level of skill and creativity the Wild are playing with this year, they will make some noise this season. Of course I haven't watched much of their games, so that could just have been a one-off play.
