Yeah, and a lot of people pointed that out at the time because anyone who has ever known a 6 year old, knows that trick.

There was still a deliberate intention to deceive, which counts as a lie IMO.

Ok, how is there not a single lawyer/publicist/handler... hell just any adult around to save Rob Ford from himself?

We're literally watching this guy dig his own grave every time a more when he opens his mouth, you'd think somebody behind the scenes would be laying it out logically & trying to handle the spin damage.

"Ok Mr. Ford. Here's the situation. There's video of you smoking crack. The police chief has admitted to having seen the video, there's no question that you smoked cracked and were caught on tape. Now here's a few options for handling it...."

Yet instead of coming out with a prepared statement & admitting fault you get this bumbling clown ranting on about the media and insisting he's not responsible. "Yeah I smoked crack... BUT DID YOU SEE WHAT THE STAR WROTE ABOUT ME!?"

Ford most certainly does have lawyers and PR specialists advising him. Unfortunately (for him), he's such a megalomaniac that he genuinely believes that he knows better than the professionals whose advice he's ignoring.

He and his brother are the only ones who are driving the Ford ship so to speak. The older brother protects and advises him and the younger one gets into trouble.

Previously, I felt bad for Torontonians who were tired of seeing their municipal tax dollars squandarded voting in a right wing, Don Cherry-esque conservative to fix their budget problems... only to find out AFTER that the guy they voted for had so many skeletons in the closet and had absolutely no interest in playing by the rules.

I just watched the video of the press scrum and he sounds on the verge of tears at times. I don't like the guy at all, but after watching that I hope he can get help and turn it around. He has kids which is the really sad part.

Look the sad part is not that he is going through the crisis, the sad part is that he has the power to get out of it. He can get out of the media spotlight and try to live a semi-normal life. He has money and connections, he should resign and work in his company and forget about public service, he isn't cut out for it.

Torontonians want a fiscal conservative, I get it, and they are holding on to this guy like their life depended on it. But come on, is there no one else who can do what they want and is not a full blown alcoholic and occasional drug user?
