They could also resign Matt Flynn, watch him put up 3 straight 400 yard, 4 TD games and then trade him again to another sucker.
The Eagles have been terrible at home since the Linc opened. They were also playing with their third string QB for one of those games, and Foles played awful for the better part of the first one. I also don't think the Packers' D is that much better than Oakland's (which was ranked 9th in the league before Sunday BTW), considering all of the injuries they've had.

On the the other side, the defense has now kept Tony Romo, Eli Manning (x2) and Pryor under 21 points, so forgive me if I'm not overly concerned about the mighty Matt Flynn or Seneca Wallace.

Did the Dolphins simply not realize how much of a dbag this guy was, or were they just putting their heads in the hand?

Matt Flynn is under contract with Buffalo.

I'd take Ponder over Wallace.

I wouldn't say you should be concerned. But the Packers can absolutely beat the Eagles with either Wallace or Flynn. The Eagles are just too mediocre to believe its a lock. Foles either has huge games or total duds, so if he duds it up the Packers will win. I also wouldn't consider holding Eli (not this year anyways) and Terrelle Pryor down as being a huge accomplishment. And actually the Giants could have won 35-0 over the Eagles but they kicked 5 FGs instead. They moved the ball easily, just couldn't convert anything.

Matt Flynn got cut yesterday (EJ Manuel is back). He's on waivers but I doubt anyone claims him (why would they?). If you put a gun to my head I guess I'd take Ponder, but its basically a choice of losing 24-7 or 24-10. Bigger point being the Vikings QB situation sucks.

The Eagles defence has been playing much better. Foles at times has looked brilliant in their offence, so that could be a tough game. But I agree with SCD...the Giants and Vikings are both terrible. Green Bay likely can go 2-1 thru that stretch and stay in the hunt for the Division.

Holding Pryor down is relevant if you're going to suggest the guy he beat out for the starting job could beat the defense he just played. Either way, you're right. It comes down to QB play. If Foles plays like he did against the Bucs, Giants, and Raiders, the Eagles should cruise. If he plays like he did against the Cowboys, they're screwed.

February 1st is apparently the tentative date for the Super Bowl in Phoenix. So basically its probably that weekend but if not, it'll be the 8th.

Try Herm Edwards, Todd Haley, and Romeo Crennell in succession first. Andy will never look bad in KC.

It didn't make much news, but the 49ers cut Asomugha earlier this week and he has cleared waivers. He started the season as the #3 CB but tweaked his knee and while he was out Tremaine Brock came in and made an impact. Asomugha was a healthy scratch the past 3 weeks and the 49ers needed the roster position for activating Eric Wright.

Manningham will be back on the field this week.
Crabtree was cleared to practice so the team has 3 weeks to activate him or put him on PUP.
And Aldon Smith is back practicing with the team; it is unknown if he will suit up this week.

Aaron Rodgers - QB - Packers
A source tells FOX Sports that Aaron Rodgers' (collarbone) timetable is roughly 4-6 weeks.

Someone on Twitter posted that this whole thing is tracking the plot of A Few Good Men. We're about a couple of days away from Sheriff Goodell barking at Philbin: "Did you order the Code Red?!"

I'm not entirely sure I'd call it victim blaming because this whole story is pretty ####ed up. Ryan Tannehill on the situation

Quote:
“I think if you had asked Jon Martin a week before who his best friend on the team was, he would have said Richie Incognito,” Tannehill said. “The first guy to stand up for Jonathan when anything went down on the field, any kind of tussle, Richie was the first guy there. When we would hang on off the field, outside football, who was together? Richie and Jon. I’m not in those guys’ shoes, I can’t explain what’s going on.”
This one doesn't add up right now. It keeps getting weirder. We'll see where it goes.

Other interesting notes around this:
Keyshawn Johnson said Warren Sapp bullied a few guys like this, until they got up in his face and physically confronted him.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...llied-ahanotu/

Hartline on the Dolphins said that Martin played the now infamous voicemail earlier this year for a bunch of guys in the locker room and was laughing about it.

At this point this is going to be weirder than Manti Te'o

Quote:
Per multiple league sources, Dolphins G.M. Jeff Ireland received a call from Martin’s agent, Rick Smith, before Martin left the team on October 28. Smith complained to Ireland about the manner in which Incognito was treating Martin.

Ireland, according to the sources, suggested to Smith that Martin physically confront Incognito. Ireland specifically mentioned that Martin should “punch” Incognito.

Reached for comment by phone on Wednesday night, Dolphins senior V.P. of media relations Harvey Greene reiterated to PFT the position that there will be no public comment from the team on any aspect of the situation, given the league’s pending review.

The fascinating thing about the outpouring of support for Incognito is that players were told to defer questions to coach. Didn't happen.
