it's been five and a half years. Ten straight losses.
Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg Berra faces quite the test. Not only is it the Blackhawks, but the #Flames haven't won in Chicago since March of 2008. 10 straight losses.

My beloved 'Hawks are relatively healthy, at this point...minor dings to "depth" guys (Mills, Kotska). It has been my observation that the offense for the 'Hawks has not been consistent, Toews is a bit of a slow starter, and the rook on the 2nd line hasn't found a chemistry with Kane yet...It was the 4th line plumbers and 3rd Pair D that dominated the Jets, as much as any yesterday, Bollig (+3) and Leddy (+1) with 1 G 1A each, Kruger with 2A and also a +3...Q's mixing and matching to find optimal combinations has been in full force...the Jets' game was the first game where the forward lines were unchanged from the prior outing
If he keeps them the same for three games in a row...

 Sharp/Toews/Hossa
 Saad/Pirri/Kane
 Bickell/Shaw/Morin
 Bollig/Kruger/Smith

The D-Pairings have been stable with a rotation at #6

 Keith/Seabrook
 Oduya/Hjammer
Leddy/Rozival or Brookbank (Brookbank has been the better of the rotation)

I wouldn't be shocked to see Khabibulin get one last try to stay in the NHL, with a start tonight...the guy has been terrible, at .818 save percentage.

Over the last three years, the 'Hawks have been excellent in the 2nd game of back to backs.

Good luck to your Flames and you Flame fans...I hope to be hanging around in the game thread tonight.

Is Raanta the next guy in line when Khabibulin is gone?

Henry...that is many 'Hawk fans' hope, that Raanta moves up...this fan would rather see Raanta get more regular work, than sitting behind a clear #1 goalie, like Crawford.

Backlund and Baertschi were awesome together last year despite not potting more goals and I think Backlund
has the IQ to put it together but over the past few years he only gets a few games at a time in a scoring role then sent back down to grind it out.

This year...thus far...5 minutes a game MORE than Colborne for Backlund and he has 1 more point. Thats no better than JC. Now as far as the other aspects of the game, Backlund has been OK and so has Colborne... but Colborne has been much MUCH better of late and as such, Backlund has earned the spot he sits in right now.

Its really no big deal and nothing he cant work his way out of.

Has trial by fire ever worked for any of our new goalies? I seem to only recall disasters.

Expecting the worst, hoping for the best.
Just want to see the young kids play well and interested to see Berra play for the first time. They've battled well this season, hope they can keep this one close.

Don't worry, our abysmal powerplay will help them out.

Hawks played an emotional game yesterday in winnipeg ( captian Johnny's hometown), and they the flew home, while the flames were resting comfortably in their hotel rooms......
 This is a crucial game.......flames 7 hawks 1.

Sorry Flamers, it's the only scenario I'll ever cheer against Calgary in, but go Hawks!
Still hope the Flames put in a good effort, the skill level of the Hawks and the compete level of the Flames should make for a great game. Pretty excited for this one.
