Does sound more like Hanowski has a ticket to Chicago to join the Flames. Flames roster currently at 23 with MacDonald, once he clears waivers and can be sent down it will go to 22 and Hanowski can be formally called up.

Hanowski scratched? Hmmm...I wonder if someone has a plane ticket to Chicago coming.
Jooris should be a bit of a surprise too, right?

Perhaps they expect MacDonald to be claimed, and thus would have a roster spot for Hanowski? Interesting.

Edit: Just read the post above this one.

I don't know if Jooris surprises me. He was scratched last weekend too. He seems to filter in and out of the lineup.

Heat get a 5-3 PP! Let's tie it up boys.

Not looking forward to next week.

Tuesday, Wednesday against San Antonio then Saturday, Sunday against Toronto. Going to be a busy busy week.

BTW, what's the over/under on Tuesday and Wednesday's attendance. I'll set it at 1100.

^Thankfully it's all home games. The travel schedule to go from San Antonio to Toronto in 3 days would be brutal. Least they can practice/sleep at home in between all that.

I'll go for over for both as no Canucks games those nights.

OT solves nothing. Off to the shootout.

Edit: Heat are 1-1 in the SO, Bulldogs 0-2 on the season

3/3 in the shootout? Is this not the affiliate of the Calgary Flames?

Is Granlund 2 for 2 on the shootout now? I remember Conroy saying he is probably the best player in the entire organization on shootouts. Seems to be holding true.

Not Heat related, but Utica is quite the bad. They're 0-6-1-1. Two points. Two goddam points! I love it.

Yes, he is. It's not a huge sample size, but he is the only Heat player to score in both of his shootout chances.

In case anyone is wondering how the Heat players have faired on the shootout:

At the start of last nights game, i was a bit concerned for the Heat. No Billins, no Berra. Ortio seemed nervous on the 2 goals but he came through afterwards. i think it was just a matter of calming down. Can't say enough about some of the forwards like Jones. On the back end, with no Billins, i felt Ramage and Cundari really stepped up. The shootout was heart warming.

Congrats to now former Heat goalie Reto Berra. He will be starting in goal for the Flames tonight against Chicago.
