Looks like you might get the call to be a flames scout.

He's been playing LW on his regular line, but he's been playing RW on the PP unit. I believe though, he's considered (of sorts) a LW.

Thinking moreso, Knight might not make sense as a replacement for Stempniak since Knight has been used primarily as a Centre only. Reinhart, Hanowski, Horak might be the ones possibly getting a call as they are the top wingers on the team right now.

If you go to the ahl site in link below, click on highlights and select abbotsford heat you can view highlights from all their games. Although quality isn't great.

Like:
Corban Knight, A+: He is probably better than Gretzky at this point.

Corban Knight, : B - I thought Knight would take a bit more time to adjust to the pro game, but he has been an impact player right from the start.

Ben Hanowski, : B - Same as Knight

Roman Horak, : D - I find a ton of plays have died on his stick this year. He is one of the veterans and I expected to see him raise his offensive game.

Max Reinhart, : C - As advertised, plays in all 3 zones and works his ass off and provides decent production.

Josh Jooris, : A - I expected nothing from Jooris, but he has been very good.

Greg Nemisz, : C - My expectations are tempered with Niemo. I expect modest production, good board work and penalty killing. He has given all of that.

Markus Granlund, : C - I didn't know what to expect from Granlund, so I kept my expectation modest and expected moderate production from an offensive minded player.

Tyler Wotherspoon, : C - Mostly solid with a few rookie hiccups, exactly as expected IMO.

Mark Cundari, : F - I am not pleased with his play what so ever. Lot's of giveaways, little offensive production and he hasn't been as involved physically as he needs to be.

Michael Ferland, : D - The only improvement over his play last season is effort. He is still offensively anemic and his only fight was defending himself after a big hit.

John Ramage, : B - My expectations were similar to that of Wotherspoon, but Ramage has been more composed and more reliable.

Reto Berra, : B - I thought it would take Berra a bit longer to look as confortable as he does.
my grades on the players based on what seen compared to what I expected from them. (A = Far Exceed, B = Exceed, C = As Expected, D = Below Expectations, F = Far Below Expectations)

And in case people were wondering I subscribe to the Heat package on AHL live so I do actually view the players.

As per the AHL Transaction page, Reto Berra has been recalled by the Flames last night as well.

I would assume Brossoit will return from Alaska to fill the other spot for tonight.

Berra a B?? Pulled twice in 9 games for being shelled in the first period. I still think he has adjusting to do. I expected more myself.

Disagree with Horak as well. Leads the team in shots on goal and playing significant PP and PK minutes. He has been setting up plays and creating room for himself. He is doing just fine.

Also Cundari has been injured. That was affecting his play.

With Berra's recall and Brossoit being in Alaska, I assume there will be some local University goalie backing up Ortio tonight. Any word on that?

Looks 100% like Joni Ortio gets the start tonight and that Brossoit will not make it in time for the game. ABB have signed David Harris (kid from Scarborough, ON) to a ATO for tonight to fill the backup space.

I'm going more with "Beer League" then "University". Bio on AHL.com has David Harris listed as 40. And 6'3", 230lbs.

Wow, awesome. He's a month older than me, and I'm old.

Lineup Notes for Tonight:

Scratches: Jooris, Hanowski, Begin, Seiloff and Arsene

Starting Lineup:
Ramage-McKenize
Byron-Knight-Horak

Hanowski scratched? Hmmm...I wonder if someone has a plane ticket to Chicago coming.
