I don't even care if I was on the bench, I would have jumped off and defended Holtby. Punches like that to the back of the head could have concussed him bad. What a complete loser Emery is. Holtby is facing the glass at one point and he still drills him in the head.
It will be interesting to see how the Flyers handle the next step.

When i see skill guys like Schenn and Lecavalier dropping the gloves, i think it has a different effect on the team than if it was just the tough guys. I also think that when a team collectively decides to put an end to being embarassed at home, it also has an effect.

ESPN is showing that Emery was named the third star in the game tonight. If ever there was proof that the three star selections in most barns are complete shinguard, this is it.
I'm not referring so much to you as some of the comments I saw on Twitter, but it baffles me that people are actually crying about this. OF COURSE it is biased. It has been from the day the first team announced the first three stars.
The Philadelphia Daily News writer who picked the stars actually tweeted about it before picking. He basically decided to troll everyone. Not exactly professional, mind you, but meh.
Dude when it comes to the Canucks, it could be a team of Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet, Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Il and if one of them scores against the Canucks you take it.

Steve Downie was apparently taken to hospital after the fight with a concussion. Lecavalier has facial injuries and may have lost some teeth. Both are out for tomorrow's game.
Hope Emery gets a suspension. With fighting already hanging on a razor's edge this year, this kind of stuff from a guy who likes fighting is inexcusable.
Yeah, i can see why people are mad at emery. Fighting an unwilling opponent isnt great. I get that, but for the life of me i cant think of why his teammates didnt jump in to stop it.

The ref was holding a couple back and calling them off. The ref should be fined and suspended. Total gutless play by Emery. Punches him in the back of the head several times. There is a reason why that punch is banned in almost every sport including MMA. It can kill you. Emery is a gutless coward and whoever enjoyed that fight is also one.

Cant see the league suspending anyone over this. This is the only thing Flyers fans have been able to cheer this season.
Watch the clip again and look how fans of each gender and all ages are excited and smiling. Some even pull out phones for video or photos.
Rivalries sell in hockey, especially when the home team stands up to a regional rival who tries to embarass them.

Two guys squaring off is one thing, even a guy who doesn't want to go getting filled after a cheap shot, but for lack of a better way to put it, this is just bullying. Throw the code out the window if you like that crap.
