Under latest audio entitled "is this Rob Ford"?

Yeesh.
Wow, that is obviously Rob Ford. The way he gets so angry and then hangs up immediately after they call him on it.

Hilarious.

As epic as this is for the anti-ford crew, it will be surpassed and set a new bar for epicness should Ford get re-elected.

God I love this guy. You could literally just put him on a stage, a hundred microphones in front of him, and let him go to town on everyone and everything. I would pay a premium theatre ticket for that show, and buy the overpriced popcorn and enjoy it tremendously.

Canada needs more late-night talk shows and parody sketch shows. This material is being wasted up here.

I hope he gets voted back in, but I'm guessing that won't happen. Still, he'll end up richer than he started after all of this.

Doubt seriously even he would be so out of touch as to try and run again. And that's if he doesn't resign before then, or is somehow forced out.

Often people embattled in the public eye will say they are going to stay and fight in the beginning, and then a week later they're resigning. Makes sense psychologically, as they're still in battle/deny mode in the beginning and then reality sets in after some time passes and they calm down. They probably lose the fight in them too after a while.

As for yop gobbler, guess which pages are at the top of Google search?

Great find!

The only way I think that he might do this, is if he is drunk. Course, we know that's right in Ford's wheelhouse. And he'd probably be drinking tonight given his problems.

Sounds like him. He even seems to slip at one point and say 'I', though if actually 'Ian', he could just been starting a comparison in which he was talking about 'If I break the law, then, etc.'

The caller hanging up seems to be a pretty good clue it could be Ford as well.

Drunk dial?

He will run for sure. Antics aside his record on fiscal issues is strong, mind you i have no idea who would donate to his campaign.

Well, the CPC of course, isn't it obvious...

BTW, five months and that's the best headline they could come up with? I get that it's a somewhat apropos Halloween headline, but I would have gone with:

Most of Ford's remaining supporters also seem to fall firmly in the tin-foil hat, conspiracy theorist territory. It's all the liberal media I tells ya.

I was stunned the Police Chief confirmed it was Ford and that what was reported was true. I expected something far more vague.

So Ford's lawyer wants the tape released to the public (so do we all), and says Ford isn't smoking crack on the tape.
Quote:
Dennis Morris told AM640′s The Oakley Show that “we see every minute of the day someone asking the mayor to resign without having had that opportunity to view the video, and so that’s wrong.”

Morris also asked Blair “to indicate under oath that he’s seen the mayor smoking crack cocaine and I don’t think he could.”

“I’m saying when it’s seen publicly there won’t be a case against Mr. Ford,” Morris said.

Morris questioned the timing of Blair’s statement, hours after the release of police documents showing a connection between the mayor and Sandro Lisi, accused of extortion and drug dealing.

“It just seemed to be fortuitous…. Chief Blair just happened to be having a press conference. Very simply, they could have done this in my view, if they located a video with the appearance of the mayor smoking crack cocaine that could have been released, the public could judge what they saw – a picture is worth a thousand words — and they could have charged Mr. Lisi a week or two later,” Morris said.

Morris said that Blair’s statement — that “as a citizen of Toronto I’m disappointed” — was at odds with the chief’s “duty to report news in a dispassionate fashion…. Who appointed him judge, jury and executioner? No one. He’s been appointed in 2005 as chief of police, and with respect he should stick to that position.”

Honestly I give him 50-50 odds of walking away from this unscathed and getting re-elected. Marion Barry did get re-elected though he did not do so concurrently. Besides do any of us want him gone? There's never been a more entertaining politician in Canadian history and its not particularly close.

Not really, Justin Trudeau needs a poster boy for legalization, and the mayor of Toronto as an active crack smoker. Sunshine it gets no better then that.

Hmmmm, bash the Liberal mayor in Calgary, bash the Conservative mayor in Toronto.

I think the Sun just doesn't like roly-poly municipal politicians.

Were they ever this hard on Bronco and Lastman?

I don't think they were hard on Bronco because he was vanilla and boring.

Lastman, I don't know, I don't think they liked him.
