Judith could get killed off, which could upset Beth.
Beth pretty much has been taking care of Judith this whole time, so I would assume it would be like her loosing her own kid.

Judith has to survive as a beacon of hope to all the characters that there is a future in this apocalypse.

IMO, almost guarantees Herschel is as good as gone from the series, especially with the focus on his compassion for the sick in the last episode.

There is no future, everyone is infected.

Daryl and his unlimited arsenal of crossbow arrows. They need to get him a gun.
I also wish the writers would make characters do such stupid things like Carol killing infected people. Makes zero sense given the massive outbreak to single out a small handful of people.

I kind of wish the zombies were slightly more intelligent. God forbid more than 1 of them runs towards Tyreese at any given moment.

I believe that scene was a nod to the comic. In the comic Tyreese gets stuck in the prison in a room filled with zombies, no one thinks he survived but he goes to town on all of them. Some time later they go and check on him and he is sitting in there covered in zombie chunks.
Oh and I don't think Carol did kill the infected people, I think she is covering for one of the girls she swore she would raise as her own. The girl went and killed the people the way Carol showed her, and in the process she got infected with the flu.

I really hope AMC opens up their wallet for once and forces the survivors to return to a big city eventually. It sort of seems they are being cheap with the series when they've gone from the woods, to a farm, to a prison, to a small town, and now we're still in the prison. Even when they leave for supplies it's always for some dinky town with two sets they are probably reusing from years past.
They really need to take a cue from Last of Us or 28 Days Later and show things are going in a big city eventually, as it would be a heck of a lot more interesting than the same repetitive events that are happening right now.

City just seems so crazy dangerous, why would they try to stay there? Lower population centres seem a lot safer.
BTW, this thread is so much better without Bertuzzied.

I would agree with this. We saw in Episode 4 the thousands upon thousands of walkers outside the vet school (if that's where they ended up driving into all the walkers). I would think it's a safer bet to stay isolated and away from large population centers.
I get that some people think they should be leaving the prison (not me - I'm still enjoying the prison angle) but really, isn't it the safest place to be? Remote, double-fenced, secure... Need supplies, go on a run... Perhaps eventually they'll need to move as the surrounding area has been bled dry of supplies.

I thought that was a solid episode, honestly of the best of the series. It was well paced, well acted (for this show) and had some legit good tense moments.
The Zombie parts were great too, not all out attacks but nice quiet moments and Hershall needs more screen time. I wish they weren't afraid to kill off major characters though.

- something as simple as heading out to unclog the water hose almost cost Carol her life. While life inside the prison seems safe and mundane, life outside the fence is anything but.
- I thought the scene with Herschel picking herbs while Carl stood watch was curious. Herschel so desperately wanted the peace and solitude that they just walked away when some walkers showed up. I did like the walker with the bear trap on her leg.
- who was on the radio broadcasting?? Our local residents are bound to meet up with other survivors now!!
- the huge zombie horde outside the vet school (I assume that's where they were) was amazing. I had to rewind and watch it twice because it looked so cool. An in-your-face reminder that there is sure a lot of walkers out there.
- our heroes (Darryl, Michonne, Bob and Tyrese) are on the move now. I can't wait to see what they bump into as they navigate the forest.
Sure, there's plot holes (vehicle choice, Darryl's unlimited bolt supply) but I was highly entertained. I thought it was the best show of the new season thus far.

Great post.
How long have they been in the prison now? This is honestly the first episode that the Prison became a character, we really got to know different places and areas of it, finally.
The first scene was super weak but after that great episode.

I just find the show was so better with a villain like the Governor. Without that the writers go back to overly focusing on the survival aspects like the weak season 2 which was full of soap opera like drama. Problem is that the acting and writing is mediocre and they make the characters out to be so miserable that it's hard to like the like them with their constant self pity. I get that it's not great times but I don't believe every single day would be filled with constant misery and depression. Also this subplot of a group member selectively killing off infected people makes absolutely no sense. If a person really wanted to stop the outbreak they would start a fire in the cell block and lock everyone in as you can't just pick and choose a few people to kill and expect that to curb the outbreak.
Maybe I missed it but what has made this flu so deadly? Is this some new strand as I don't see how a basic flu could make people so ill they are coughing up blood and dying. I could see a few weak people maybe getting very ill but an adult in good shape should be able to get through it after maybe a week of fever and vomiting as long as they have ample water.

I find the flu thing pretty believable. There's limited water, there's no medicine to control the symptoms, and the accomodations - jail cells - aren't conducive to recovery. The mortality rate seems like it's a bit high but who knows, maybe being infected with zombie sickness affects the body's ability to combat other viruses.
Rick going nuts on Tyrese was well done. Legitimately a "holy F***" moment, very convincing.
The girls are a reasonable culprit for who killed what's her name and what's his face. Just a thought, how about Carl? Maybe he's just been playing nice and mature to get his weapon back and he's really just as ruthless as he seemed to be becoming at the end of S3.
