Phil Kessel wishes he could play the Oilers every game. Their careless style is tailor made for his counterattacks off the rush. 4 points and counting and probably hasn't been hit yet.

Also, this is exhibit A as to why even advanced stats are flawed. The Leafs continue to defy the advanced stats which are based around shot attempts. They are being outshot tonight but if you watch the game, they've controlled play and when they do create chances off the rush they finish with deadly precision. They'll always have a higher than average shot percentage.

-4 for Yakupov. Heck of a night for him.

I wonder if at some point there could be a Lindros situation in the draft. If I were a highly touted 2014 or 2015 eligible player, I wouldn't want to end up anywhere near this train wreck of a hockey club.

Gagner and Yak now -4

How long before some of these players demand a trade out of there...?

Reimer reminds me a lot of Giguerre. He's a damn good goalie.

lol I always love when the opposing teams broadcast throws out "shutout" when they're the ones facing it... Kevin Quinn would never do it if the Oilers had a shutout going this late in a game.

Not sure what you're taking issue with specifically.

You think Yakupov would have been a top 5 pick in this past year's draft?

Or you think that players should have trade value based on their draft slot years later?

They can demand whatever they want, but the Oilers are too afraid to make a big move.

Did Quinn just say the Oilers only have six powerplay goals?

These kids get paid a lot of money to go out and do whatever the hell they want. They will stay, get paid, then sign somewhere else once they hit ufa.

One of these times they're going to cut to the Oilers bench and ask, "where is Dallas Eakins?" Then we'll just hear a gunshot from under the bleachers.

In the last 3 games the Oilers have given up 9 goals. Yakupov has been on the ice for all 9 goals against. Eberle has been on for 8 of 9 and only a good timed line change kept him from 9 out of 9.

I have no problem with that. He's not trying to jinx them, just that the inevitable superstitious Oiler fans would get upset at the broadcast of they did it to the Oilers. Weird thing to find funny

Finishing at the bottom again is their next big move.

Yeah, I pictured him giggling under his breath thinking, "look at me jinx Reimer now", as he said it.

The Oilers goon trying to mix it up down 4-0 with 8 minutes left?

That team has no idea what it is doing, from management on down.

Smart move by the officials with the misconducts. Keep things under control.

What's the name of the Oilers mascot? They might just have to give him a chance.

Because you are delusional if you don't think where he was drafted 2 years ago shouldn't be used by the Oilers to get more for him. He has been terrible this season, but this season is 12 games old. He's the former first over all pick who scored the most goals and points amongst rookies last season. His stock is quite high. Don't kid yourself.
