yes, because the fact that you don't like the logo on a jersey bodes all kinds of horror for a billion dollar construction project

Seeing the lack of imagination, design flaws, immediate backlash from public, these things speaks volumes on how the corporate side of the Flames work.
Everyone is just a "yes man" to King and company in the office.

I think the jerseys the Flames have come out with since the lockout have shown us that whoever is making decisions is lacking in design sense, so I think that is a valid concern.

There is a really severe difference between a design team tasked with creating a jersey and an architecture firm tasked with creating a building. Connecting the two is hilarious.
The fact that a few of you are talking as though they could have any crossover at all is embarrassing.

Architects design to suit client desires. Other than the upper echelon of starchitects, they typically do not have carte blanche to do as they please. Assuming that Edwards or King are the guys behind the jersey, it certainly shows poor taste as far as design goes. I don't see why there wouldn't be a connection.

I can't believe how hard some of you are actually TRYING to hate it. Suddenly it becomes clear why this forum is such a bastion of negativity when the Flames aren't winning. Or sometimes even when they are.
Anyway, it's not the best jersey the Flames have ever worn, and it's not the worst. I think it lands somewhere between "acceptable" and "decent", landing far short of "great".

The logo makes up 90% of how a jersey looks. The logo wordmark is awful. It's pretty hard to get a passing grade on a jersey when you have 0% on something worth 90% of the score.
The rest of the jersey has some positives (it's red, decent striping), yes, but also still has some negatives (Black yoke, "western cut" on black yoke, funny font).
Even if the logo was changed to the regular logo in either white or black (which would improve this jersey greatly), it still wouldn't be nearly as good as many of the concepts made on here for free by CP users. And I don't think that there were any concepts on CP that couldn't have used at least a few tweaks either.

Well, I wonder then if they are using the same architecture firm that designed the jersey to design the new barn. Anyone?

As others have said, it looks much better on a player in real life than from NHL14 or whatever.
The shoulder bar would look good if not for the yoke/mountain whatever it is.
The stripes look out of place.
The word logo is just as ######ed as every other jersey that's used it.
The numbering looks off.
But it has potential.

Not really. The same people who approved the new Jersey design are the same ones who will be approving the new building design.
It is perfectly acceptable to call it into consideration.

That's pretty rich coming from a guy who stole WittyNickname's nickname to use on other forums.
