I have a question on that challenged fumble. How come it wasn't Seattle ball? Yes, the ball went out of bounds however it was clearly touched by the Seahawks on the way out of bounds.

You have to establish possession in the NFL

Awful play call for the 4th down. Such a low percentage play.

I didn't think Seattles defense played well at all, if this game was against a team with a real number 1 QB, they lose easily

So far the magin of victory against common opponents has been pretty close between the two teams so far. It's that KC only beat Cleveland and Houston by 7 combined points. But these were teams who's season's were pretty much on the line so they were probably pretty desparate. Also the string of 2nd and 3rd string QB's I'll dispute. Case Keenum has been named starter over Matt Schaub, he may in fact prove to be better, I think he showed a lot more than TJ Yates ever did. Jason Campbell is as good or better than the other Browns QB's, I think he can be as good as Hoyer was. He was doing pretty well in Oakland before he got injured, and Hue Jackson committed career suicide by giving up a kings ransome for Carson Palmer. Fitzpatrick....is he that much different than Jake Locker?
I think it's a case of the Chiefs playing teams who are not that good at QB, which these days applies to a few teams right now. It's the reason that the these teams have the records they do.

Bend but not break. 3 times in the red zone, for St. L, 2 fg. A key sack to push the kicker back on the second to last series and he misses from 50 which ended up being huge. Some so so calls extended Rams drives as well.
A lot of talk about the sacks and depleted line but at least 2,maybe 3, Wilson double clutched and didn't release the ball when he could've. Troubling, because he did that more then a few times last week and took some more sacks and two strip sacks.
Is he over thinking and taking too much time? Hurt, scared? Whatever it is he has to make quicker decisions.
Also, most ineffective Lynch has been in a while, yards of course but provided no spark or big run. Is he hurt, Turbin played more snaps than usual.
Full credit to Rams for loading the line and stopping the Seattle game and throwing Wilson off his. Seattle very fortunate to escape that one, need to be much sharper and more prepared, especially on offense.

In terms of the NFC here are my nearly midseason observations.
The NFC East is bad. It's hard to call any one team out of it. Dallas I think is the best of that sorry bunch, but with Romo and Garret, they seem to find ways to blow chances that are handed to them on a silver platter. Still the Boys likely run the Division and finish with 8 wins. Dez is a strange creature, but he is exceptionally talented. The Eagles can't keep a QB healthy, and their defensive backfield is not good. So long as Matt Barkley is under center, Santa Clause should avoid getting pelted with snow balls, the fans will be tossing them at Barkley. The Red Skins defence has been awful, and really so has RG3 in the 5 losses for the Skins, they would need to go 7-2 to closethe season to beat out a 8-8 Cowboys team...not happening. The Giants have won two in a row, but Jacksonville would have been 50-50 to win those games. The defence is still suspect, the running game is bad, and Eli is playing badly. Not a formula to go on a run.
The Saints are in good position to claim the South. The defence is leaps better than last year, and the offence is still potent. Two bad minutes is theonly reason they're not 7-0. Home field will be huge for them, so they need to keep winning. The Panthers are starting to get it together. They are a bit like the Chiefs where they have a tough front 7 on D, and when the offence gets 20 points they have a great chance to win. I think they will be there for a wild card spot. The Falcons have fallen apart. Both their offensive and defensive lines need to be revamped. Tampa Bay...so long as Schiano sticks they won't win. The players hate him. Add a QB and a coach, plus some disinfecting supplies to the locker room and they will improve drastically.
I think the Packers will claim the NFC North even with their injury woes. Rogers is getting a pretty good run game and the defence is playing good enough. This is another team who would love a top two seed. The Lions are tough to figure out, they show signs of being an upper end team, than blow a game. Maybe yesterdays win propells them to finally push forward. They certainly do have some nice pieces in place and any team has to fear Megatron. The Bears aren't out of it, but a defence thats falling apart and McCown at QB could change that. The Vikings are bad right now. Their inept QB play draws ttention, but their defence has also been woeful.
At times the Seahawks really have not been that impressive in racking up a 7-1 record. Still 5 road games down puts them in a position to win 12-13 games. They do need to get healthy on the offensive line though, as they can get shut down for stretches. The 49'ers got beat down in Seattle, and than had Indy run all over them but have rallied back well. Power running and letting Kaepernick run a bit more has let the string a few wins together. They need to keep winning and see if they can edge ahead of Seattle by year end. The Cardinals are better than I expected. Their defence is solid, and when Palmer isn't awful they've been able to win some games. Still 8 wins will be a good year for them. The Rams are a bit of a disappointment, and with Clemons at QB won't get better. Their D-Line can be dominating, but unless they can score a defensive TD they won't have a chance to win.
I think New Orleans, and San Fran will be the top two seeds. Green Bay will be 3 seed, and Dallas gets the gift 4 seed. Seattle gets the on WC spot, and I will say Carolina edges out Detroit for the other one. Anyone of New Orleans, San Francisco, Seattle, or Green Bay will be hard to beat at home.

If Ponder adds to that list of 400 yards passers against the Cowboys, I'll eat my shorts.

Carolina is this year's Good-Bad team, by that I mean they'll beat all the bad teams on their schedule and none of the good ones. Cam is still very emotionally immature so you simply cannot trust him. Once things go bad it'll be towel on the head time because its ridiculous to see him doing first down celebrations on meaningless week 8 first downs against bad teams. He just cannot handle his emotions. It's either smiles and celebrations or the "someone just killed my dog" look with the towel over his head.
It also cannot be understated just how awful the NFC East is. There's a 90% chance 7-9 or 8-8 wins that division. If they didn't play each other in division it might be four 5-11 teams. The Giants might still be the favourites at 6 loses.

Yeah, but every year someone gets into the playoff because their schedule let them play a lot of bad teams. Someone can argue that Kansas City and San Diego are also benefitting from an easy schedule. So in the case of Carolina they can put up 4-5 wins within their Division. They are matched up against the AFC East so they may be able to pull off 3 wins there. This year a team with 10 wins will have a shot at the second wild card spot. No one else in the South is going to win more than 8 games. No one in the NFC East is a threat. So is Arizona, Detroit or Chicago going to be able to win 10 games? Detroit is a possibility but the other teams don't look like it to me. So that leaves Carolina as having a shot.
In terms of the NFC East, I think Dallas can run the table in that Division, at worst go 5-1...It would be pretty funny to see a team with a 6-0 Division record finish at 8-8 and win the Division (The Raiders actually did this in 2010 but didn't win the Division but they had a 8-8 record with a 6-0 Division record), and I think that's exactly what happens. At least the Cowboys have competed in their 4 losses losing two games by a single point and by a field goal to Denver. Which is something the other NFC East teams really aren't doing.

I think the Giants will beat the Cowboys in NY. Redskins maybe 50/50 would beat the Cowboys at RFK.

I have a weird hunch that the bills knock off the chiefs this week.
Cowboys should dominate IMO (and I hate them). Tough loss to the broncos and then that loss last week was even tougher. Expect them to be ready to play a full game!

I think Detroit will grab the second wildcard spot. If not I kinda like Arizona if Carson Palmer can play solid football (i.e. limit the turnovers). Its a very good team that just needs a QB who can make plays. The Cowboys are the Cowboys and as evidence from Sunday, there's no reason I should trust them to come through. Division is ugly as sin which helps.
