The League
Is there any love out there for this show? Didn't see any threads in the last few pages. It seems to be the only show that's literally "laugh out loud" funny for me nowadays.. aside from Sunny that is.
Any thoughts on the new season?

I've been watching it since it started, absolutely love it. Ruxin is my favorite character, but Jon Lajoie does a terrific job as well.
I laugh out loud at it all the time; I definitely think it connects better with people who follow sports. It's not a show I'd ever watch with my girlfriends.

I loved the taco truck puns a few episodes ago, and the episode with the 'Cutlet' getting sacked for his breast milk was hilarious. Such a great show and a must watch if you like the NFL or fantasy sports in general.

I thought it was better in seasons 1 and 2 when it focused a little more on fantasy football. But it is still a must watch for me during the year. I like Ruxin the best too, the guy is hilarious. Anyone seen the Kroll Show? His Degrassi ripoff is pretty funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWohhABEzJQ

Great show, haven't caught it for a couple of seasons though. Will probably buy the DVD's someday.
Great cast. Love John Lajoie's comedy.
Mark Duplass is pretty funny on Mindy Kaling's show too.

ya the show is very very funny. Sometimes I can't stand Ruxin though.

I really enjoyed the first few seasons, but sadly as their budget increased the quality of the banter went down. No, I'm not interested in seeing the gang visit the Dallas Cowboy's training camp, I'd rather see them insult each other's manhood at a friends BBQ.
I still think the improvised dialogue is great and I do laugh at out at times, but the scripted stuff has kinda killed the vibe of the show for me.

Perhaps since I have no knowledge of or interest in fantasy football the lack of focus on that isn't such a huge loss for me.
The dynamic of the characters is what keeps bringing me back. Every character is enjoyable in their own way. The teaser for the next episode looks promising. Any time Raffi is involved you know it'll be good.

Raffi is probably one of the most polarizing characters on TV. Some think he's hilarious and some cringe whenever he makes an appearance. I've found myself in both camps, which I guess is kind of the point of the character. He's like an exaggerated version of Ruxin, who is despicable yet somehow really likable.
I wasn't upset when he was murdered in that Raffi/Dirty Randy episode. It's just too bad the whole thing takes place a year in the future.
Regardless, the League is a great show.

Love this show. Favourite episode has to be when Jeff Goldbloom shows up as Ruxin's dad and Sarah Silverberg as Andre's sister. That supper scene almost made me piss my pants.

Finally watched that episode yesterday...so is he killed off then? That's the only episode I've seen in the last 2 seasons, I'm so confused. A year in the future? So in other words he's dead next season? Or the show is done then? I don't even...
If they're just killing him off but keeping the show going, that's a shame. Definitely my favourite character. (Ruxin's a solid #2)
EDIT: Loved that episode btw. Liked when Dirty Mike was trying to get the story straight with the witnesses, after his duel with Rafi; "None of you saw ####! He shot himself!" , "ok, so the story is he shot himself while you were shooting at him?"

Yeah, I'm not sure how they'll handle it. At some point in the episode there was a "one year later" subtitle, or something to that effect. So yeah, I guess next season, if there is one, Raffi will be dead. He's supposed to be in this week's episode, so I guess you still have this week to enjoy his stuff!

Bunch of friends recommended this series and I'm just about finished season two. Can't remember laughing out loud so often before, maybe Seinfeld.
Fear Boner had me in stitches.
