Watched Gametrailers review of Battlefield 4. Interesting that they mentioned the review only covers the PS4 and PC version. They said they are restricted from mentioning anything about the Xbone version. Sounds like the rumors going around are ringing true.
DICE has failed once again to make Battlefield 4 a serious single-player contender. But its emphasis on ambitious, team-based multiplayer does wonders to wash the taste of that failure away. Battlefield 4 takes the elements that have made each installment work and glues them together successfully — even if some rough edges show here or there.
Ya, I don't buy Battlefield games for the deep and immersive story telling. Thanks Polygon!
Moving on. I was getting pretty worried yesterday after reading a number of threads on the official forums of people still complaining about poor performance. I myself had a lot of stuttering issues and poor framerates during the beta. I hopped on this morning to test it out and am happy to say that my framerate were butter smooth. Now I just need to find some hardcore servers.

Yeah I only had time to play for about an hour last night, but the game runs even better than it did for me in the beta.
About 20 minutes into playing though, our Mumble server went down for maintenance, so we were forced to use the in-game comms and goddamn they are awful.
The maps are sooooooo awesome. Dynamic weather + volumetric water = amazing.
Slams the single player, but correctly notes that no one gives a crap about singleplayer in this game and that multiplayer is amazing.
Of note, the review is for PS4/PC. They haven't fulled played the xbox version (single player only, no multiplayer yet) so the review for that will be out closer to the xbox launch.
I am happy they overhauled player movement from BF3. It feels as though your soldier has some weight to them. It's also nice to start off with some attachments and equipment instead of nothing. Never been a fan of the Kobra RDS so I am probably going to go with iron sites until i can get a proper RDS or PKS Holo.
Probably a good thing, I was just about to buy this while I was logged into teamviewer to my home PC. Left my desk for a bit to make sure I wanted to get it and when I returned my home PC was offline. I will take it as a sign and not get it
Yeah, I think I'll wait a while for this one, between Pokemon X/Y, Hearthstone, GTAV, LEGO Marvel, and Batman in there somewhere, having to grind out weapons doesn't appeal right now. I'll wait until they release the inevitable pay to unlock.
