I have no idea how he did it but Kipper had X-Ray vision to see all those bodies in front of the net and not give out huge rebounds. We were spoiled for so long!

But Ramo is the clear #1 now.

He's great on positioning, but man is he ever horrible with rebounds. Directly caused the first goal and kicked a lot straight down the middle of the slot. If he can work on that and get his rebounds under control he could be a legitimate NHL starter

We have a good habit of having great goaltenders everyone else passed on it seems, huh?

You mean like only Kipper the past 15 years?

Afaik he was the starter that entire time and we didn't need anyone else (depending on who you talk to of course), and that 15 years encompasses almost 50% of the time in Calgary. or did miss something.

Its just so nice to go through this process with solid goal tending. No flakes. The goalies are pushing them selves and seeing a ton of rubber outside of games I'm sure, and the guys are blocking shots for them, saving RAMAC a little mileage.

It makes you wonder seeing what Colorado is doing right now, that maybe who is between the pipes has more impact then we realize.

I just felt that Ramo made a strong case as (another?) high level Finnish goalie.

I have no problem with 1A 1B tandem. Ramo took 1A tonight at home on Saturday night HNIC against Ovi. The teams that matter most to us collectively groaned tonight at the prospect of Kippers crease being filled so quickly. I'm sure Free Willy and the Special Build were looking to pad their stats against the noobs from Cowtown this season, but now we've become this pain in the arse to deal with.

Hyperbole. He only played 9 seasons for us.

Ramo definitely kicked out some rebounds tonight, but the defence was really, really good at clearing the puck. It was great to see.

Wasn't his strongest game as he has shown better rebound control than that, but overall he's been giving this team confidence and a chance to win on most nights he's in the net.
