Ideally this fact would have no bearing but if it does I unfortunately see it going the other way... the uncle going out of his way to avoid an allegation of nepotism and judging Mark more critically than his competition.
But if Mark keeps scoring goals like that and Providence keeps beating up on opponents then the case becomes harder to resist.

Injuries will have a big part in it as well, generally there are a few guys every year that miss the tourney nursing injuries. That will open up a few spots.

nice hands! And maybe it's just me, but Janko looks big out there. It's easy to see what the Flames saw when they picked him, the combination of size and skill is really intriguing. If he puts everything together, he could be a hell of a player somewhere down the road.
Jankowski is definitely showing that he has that special skill set that could be a top line center. Dare we say a more offensively gifted player than Monahan? No where near as good two way player,at this point, but a very nice compliment to Monahan. Some incredible goals early on this year should get Flames fans drooling at the prospect of Monahan, Jankowski, Backlund and Knight as our centers in a couple years, and many years to come.
