if the flames don't move Stempniak at the deadline, it will be a big mistake.
I love having him on the team, but he's quietly generating a lot of desire around the league I have to imagine. Scores goals and contributes when he isn't, but can score in bunches. He could be a great rental for a team needing second or third line depth heading into the playoffs.
Maybe the flames sign him in the offseason after trading him away, I'd be ok with that, but to keep this rebuild as short as possible, the team has to sacrifice these types of valuable vets.

Pretty good shift for him against Galiardi in the dbag role though. Was annoying him at the faceoff, pushing him with his stick, not called. Saw Galiardi in the Dallas zone, lined him up and gave him a shove, then bee-lined for him seconds later in the neutral zone.
