BMI is for fools. I can't think of a less useful metric.
There's no way he'd be 170. At that weight he'd be too skinny to play hockey. 209 sounds perfectly reasonable. Especially since in the pictures he doesn't just look taller than the other players but broader as well.

I was 6'1' in Grade 8 and only grew another 3 inches. I was also about 135lbs, I've doubled that, LOL.
Hulk Hogan was 6'6" and over 250lbs at 12 years old as well.

I remember when I was 13, I was 5'11" and our family doctor told me that I was likely going to be 6'6" to 6"8". I ended up topping out at 6'1".
But 6'6" at 13 is pretty remarkable. That gives him a lot of time to learn how to use it properly.

Yeah but over 100 lbs of that was just the BS he was filled with at an early age.

Also, I don't understand why this mutant freak is being discussed on the Flames forum. Seems like OT fodder to me.

Little early to be discussing "prospects" (and by prospects I mean random young boys) who were born in the 2000's, yeah?
Hey, if a long discussion on the body type of a particular 13 year old boy is totally rational hockey talk to all of you, maybe it's me who's wrong, but I kind of doubt it.
Even the Russia discussion over the summer was more hockey related than this.

Yup, a hockey player he stumbled upon on Eliteprospects has nothing to do with hockey, you're totally right

He should pick up basketball. Chara is an exception, there are countless guys as tall as him that never develop the coordination necessary to play hockey at an elite level. A lot of NBA players who are now >= 6'9" were 6'5" at 13, so he may top out close to 7'.

What's the big deal? Every Native reserve I ever played in Bantam had one of these gigantic kids on the roster, except the native kids were already growing moustaches.
Nothing to see here......

I knew a kid in grade 8 was just over 6'-4, but his motor skills and co-ordination were somewhat comical as he moved in slow motion to the point where he pretty much couldn't catch any passes in basketball and it took him 5-7 seconds to get off a jump shot. If this kid can skate and handle the puck at this size at this age, that's what would really be impressive.

Oh, ok. I guess we should get rid of all the hockey related posts in this forum then. Lets move the OOT into the OT forum too. It was hockey related so I went with the forum where all the hockey related stuff gets posted. Don't know what I was thinking....

If I was 6ft6 during jr high, I'd probably be in jail still.

My younger brother was 5'9 when he was 15 and grew a full 12 inches in the next year, so you never know. Growth spurts be crazy...
