Gotta admit I'm nostalgic for the days when nicknames could be longer than two syllables, and didn't have to be a play on the guy's last name.

Monahan has already played better in 8 games than Iginla did in the past 2-3 years in Calgary.

Is that the official spelling?
Personally I like Money better because its actually a descriptive word that means something.

To me, Monahan is like Money in the bank.

I have to say, I'm digging the double arm pump he does when he scores, the leg lift is a nice touch.

Meh, at least monorail is a somewhat clever pun and not just an incorrectly shortened version of his last name.

The leg lift keeps reminding me of the captain Morgan stance.

You mean me?

I think you meant Devastator.

If he was the captain there would be so many potential photoshops here.

When he's captain, there will be.

I think it's got to be "money-hands". It fits his name pretty good and he certainly has been money with his chances.

So after tonight/tomorrow morning hopefully we get the great news from Feaster that the Flames 19 year old leading goal scorer is here to stay.
This should be an obvious decision to make that $Money is a full fledged Flame!

The comparison with Mackinnon is out to lunch after 8 games. We should just enjoy Monahan's success without getting into very questionable proclamations of who the better player is this early.
