Denver surrendered 106 points in the last three games, or 35.3 points per game. For the season, the average is 27.3.
That's asking a lot from Peyton.
Denver Broncos must fix league's worst pass defense

I think starting Weeden is indefensible at this point. It's painfully obvious he's not an NFL quarterback. He gets rid of the ball way too slow, he stares down his receivers and makes poor decisions. Many of his passes yesterday were so off target the receivers never had a chance to make a play. And even if the ball was catchable, the receivers dropped it more often than not. The Browns have four players on offense who are worth a damn: Josh Gordon, Jordan Cameron, Joe Thomas and Alex Mack. That's it. The rest are trash.

Can't argue with much of that. Losing Hoyer was a huge blow.
http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/nf...gery-1.2125901
Hoyer is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing reconstructive knee surgery on Friday, and Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said he hopes the QB will be able to return for practice next spring.

Adding to the injury list for week 7 is Doug Martin, who reportedly has a torn laburm and is done for the year. Reggie Wayne's ACL tear has been confirmed as well, and considering Irsay is who he is I'd imagine the Colts will be packaging a 1st round pick or a package of decent picks to the Giants for Hakeem Nicks.

Colts doctors initially diagnosed torn ACL for Reggie Wayne; everyone hoping for a miracle as he goes into MRI on right knee.

Absolutely devastating loss. Reggie is a future hall of famer and one of the best recievers to ever play the game. Whenever we need a 1st down or a catch, the ball always goes to Reggie. TY Hilton's time to shine.
And Andrew Luck is amazing, nothing to find out there. Get well soon Reggie.

And the hits keep on coming: Jay Cutler out at least a month with a groin tear.

Yikes...
Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley was in the intensive care unit at a hospital Monday after suffering a neck injury during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, league sources told ESPN Senior NFL Insider Chris Mortensen.
"He couldn't move at the time," said Quarless, a backup tight end whose locker is next to Finley's. "So I just told him, 'Just stay here, just lay here, don't move.'"
So scary.
GB has been decimated with injuries and all that, but this kind of thing is way past all that...just hope he can get back to normal.

That was a weird one. Just didnt look like much of anything when it happened, but when he was walking off the field, you could tell it wasn't good.
Hope he recovers in a hurry, but groins are a difficult fix sometimes.

they already wasted a 1st on Richardson, man he looks awful. Cleveland at least has something to show for that pick now, as for the Weedon pick, they wont be getting anything for him...

Rough week for injuries to be sure. It's getting to that part of the season though, pretty much every year you have maybe 10-12 teams who's QB was able to play every game, and everyone else had to cover an injury, or didn't get good enough play at the position from the guy they had.
Kansas City, Cincy, Indianapolis, New England, Denver, and San Diego have one thing in common....same QB started every game this year.
Seattle, New Orleans, Green Bay, Dallas, San Francisco, and Detroit are the same way.

New England has a QB?
I had a hunch he would have a good game this week and was severly wrong. I wish I played Matt Ryan instead
Apparently Schiano is saying Doug Martin isn't done for the season.

Did everyone throw him under the bus?

Difference is Marshawn Lynch at least averaged 4 yards a carry when Buffalo traded him. Richardson has never seen above 3.5 yards per.
Also the Seahawks traded a 4th and 5th rounder which is pretty much exactly what Indianapolis should have traded for Richardson, not a 1st rounder.

And no doubt Drake is over the moon: Baltimore trades Bryant McKinnie to Miami, presumably for a stripper bus.

So Richardson will be forever crapped on because one GM valued his skills higher? If Richardson channels his inner Lynch and ends up being a bowling ball like him, people will still say he's not good enough because he was a 1st rounder and was traded for a 1st rounder?

He'll be crapped on if he averages under 4 yards a carry. Guys get signed off the street or drafted in the 6th round and put up better numbers. The Colts will get crapped on for giving up one of the NFLs most valuable commodities, a 1st round pick, to acquire a player from a position of little to no value, a running back. McGahee gets signed off the street to replace him in Cleveland and there he is, putting up better numbers. From a value standpoint it was a horrific mistake by the Colts, one that will only look worse when a player of need cannot be drafted in next years 1st round.
