The controller feels perfect! So comfortable. Forza 5 looked Epic. And the haptic feedback in the individual triggers is so involving. It's what racing games have been missing. Killer instinct looked good. Just not my type of game.
Controller feels really nice. Agree about the feedback on the triggers, causes the game to feel more involving.
Was not overly impressed with the graphics on Forza, just didn't look as sharp as I had hoped. Think it may have been the track I played though. Laguna Seca didn't look great on Forza 4 either compared to other tracks.
Was hoping Ryse would be available to play. Recent shots of the game have looked very impressive but still have concerns about the gameplay.

With Watchdogs and Drive Club delayed till next year I've decided to cancel my PS4 preorder. Just like those games I'll probably delay buying a PS4 till next spring when hopefully Infamous Second Son comes out. I've got enough of a backlog of games to keep me busy till then.

I've been seeing lots of people saying the same thing as you...time to see how much goodwill Sony has banked over the last year or so.
I went to Northland BestBuy to try the XBox One earlier today. I found the controller to be too light and the trigger buttons to be too soft. I prefer the XBox 360 controller over this one though the new one may grow on me.
The graphics on Forza 5 were okay though I'd like to see how it looks on my TV before I pass my final judgement. The TV that the XBox One was using was on torch/vivid/store mode so the contrast and brightness was way up. The dashboard reflections were neat as well as the lens flare but again the calibration of the TV was not set very well.
As for the XBox One unit itself it's much bigger than the 360 and looks like a Bell PVR receiver. It didn't sound loud though I was in a store.
I don't see the point of cancelling a pre-order just because one game was delayed. By the time Watch Dogs comes out, there won't be any price reductions for either console, it's just too soon
I'm still of the mindset that it might be prudent to sit back before making a decision on which console to buy based of the experience of people post release. I'm only buying one - I'm leaning towards Xbox but I'm not sure I want a Day1 release now. I might sit back for a bit.

Yeah. No matter how many games get cancelled the console is not going to drop in price for probably two years. You can probably use that pre-order money for something else but it'll still cost the same amount 6 months from now.

Yeah but they are always improving the hardware. These launch consoles are so rushed out the door to meet the launch deadline that it's not unreasonable to expect that one or both of them may have some flaws like the Xbox 360 had. I'm particularly a little worried Sony is trying to squeeze too much hardware into too small of a case in the PS4 while Microsoft almost looks like they went overboard in attempt not to repeat the XB360 failures making the XB1 making it so large. Time will tell.
I'm still going to get both consoles at launch but at the same time I realize I am paying $$$ for early adopter hardware. If you wait there is a good chance you will get better hardware for your money as they improve on hardware and manufacturing. There are still some good releases for the current consoles that could keep the average gamer occupied into 2014.
The way I look at it there will be no price drop until November 2014 at the earliest. So it is not like waiting is going to save me a lot of money.
I also think people are being overly harsh on the launch titles due to the lack of system exclusives.
For the XBoxOne you have Forza, Dead Rising, and Ryse.
PS4 you have Killzone, Knack (which I am excited for), Resogun and other indie titles.
But then for multi-platform you have Madden, Fifa, NBA 2K14, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Battlefield, and Need for Speed which are all pretty decent AAA titles.
More then enough games to make purchasing now worth it.

Can you please explain what has you excited for Knack? I saw a video or two from the game but it didn't look too great. I loved the Ratchet and Clank/Jax series from the PS2/PS3 and this looked very similar though it sounded like the game was targeted more towards younger kids.
I am disappointed about Drive Club being delayed. For the PS4 the only game I will have is KillZone so I'm hoping that can be a good showcase game for the system. Other than that there's not a whole lot. I may pick up Need for Speed Rvials and maybe Call of Duty though I'm more of a single player game person than multiplayer and those games usually don't have substantial single player portions.
For the XBox One I've got Ryse and Forza 5 and I may get Killer Instinct (wife likes fighting games). I'm not sure what other game(s) I could get for that console that would be worthwhile.

Waiting provides people with two things:
1. They can see what sort of games each system gathers over a year to make a more informed decision. If someone is only going to get one console then it's much more prudent to wait it out a bit longer and decide based on the exclusive games. There is literally no rush to run out an buy either of these systems. All of those 3rd party games are coming to current gen systems as well.
2. Avoid all of the launch issues like faulty hardware etc.
Historically launch titles haven't been very good and I don't see this launch being any different. Not a single game I've seen listed for next gen looks all that interesting. Killer Instinct 3 is the only exception but I have no problem holding off to see if it's even any good.

Recent discussion makes it sound like the game is actually quite difficult and that it features gameplay similar to Ratchet/Jak/Crash Bandicott.
Not overly surprising considering Mark Cerny was involved with the game and he had a part in all three of those series.
I think that people are writing it off for being too childish but I think it will be the surprise of launch.
