Score(less)face - you absolutely knew this was coming
Glencross has always been incosistent, and usually reliable for a stupid penalty at a bad time, but we overlooked those shortcomings because of his offense and, at times, decent PK performance.
This whole season so far, his play has been worse than bad. He's a team liability on the ice.
I've never been a huge fan of Glencross, but if I was GM, I'd wait until his trade value improves and pressure him to waive. It's Hartley's job to motivate him somehow. He is not a positive role model for the younger guys, and not buying in to the "never quit" ethos.
Someone needs to remind him that 2 points in October are worth the same as 2 points in April, and if he's riding his NTC, it's the last one he'll ever get. Slow starts aren't a valid excuse.
The Flames have plenty of forwards. Get a few picks/prospects for Glencross, and bring up Horak.

Like it or not, he's not going anywhere. NTC. He's been a passenger for a lot of the time so far this season but he's going to have his moments, he always does. You have to take the good with the bad with this guy.

If they don't hold him accountable it will eventually rub off on the young guys and breed a loosing attitude; "Especially if we are losing games".
They should bench him or send him back to the 3 or 4th line if he doesn't want to play the right way.

I hope the NTCs-to-non-franchise-players era ends with Glencross.
Ridiculous how we handed those types of contacts out seemingly willy nilly.

He's not very effective right now, but everyone's tune will change when he reverts back to scoreface.

Don't like his personality(never seen him smile) and certainly not liking his play so far this season.

I have noticed when occasionally I indulge in a little joy reading the lamentations of the Oil message board how much they regret losing Curtis. Justified or not, this makes me like him more. Then I read how he helped organize the skeet shoot.
I cannot argue his on ice play has been lacking in a small sample size. Scoreface will return. I am willing to cut him some slack till then.

It's been evident all season that Glencross is missing something from his former game. I've piled on him enough, what I really what is my old scoreface back.

I agree. I'm just saying that he's not going anywhere. As much as we'd like it to happen. I'm pretty confident in saying that Curtis Glencross will never waive his no trade clause.
So, we as fans have to deal with him and all the ups and downs that come with it.

If they want to trade him and he says he doesn't want to be traded, either sit him OR play him 25+ minutes a game until he gets his head out of his butt

Agree.
He's been good value as a second-third line player for the money they've paid him; but on this team he's being expected to perform as a top line player - something beyond his capabilities. I'd still rather have him on the team.

The only untradeable players in the NHL are the ones with terrible contracts. NTC or not, if things sour with the Flames organization, he'll be willing to move. Though as we saw with Iginla, the NTC would certainly limit the destinations (and return).
