Brian Burke's rebuilding destroys the Oilers rebuild.

The best season Lupul has ever had was 67 points and the second best season was 53 points. Those aren't the stats of a star forward.

And you want to know who was kissing Ottawa's ass? Everyone. Everyone in the "Toronto Media" said they were major contenders in the East and said what a star Bobby Ryan is. You seriously are surprised to hear this? The media loves Ottawa.
You're freaking delusional. Who are these Toronto media members doing this? Let me guess... Don Cherry, Nick Kypreos, Glenn Healy, Bob McKenzie, and Darren Dreger? All noted Leaf haters. Or at least in your blue and white world.

The Laffs didn't make the playoffs for 7 years. And then they got knocked out in the first round last year.

Yeah he did such a great job that they fired him. Clearly its an organization heading in the right direction.

67 points in 66 games.. Again. Don't want to discuss how he's PPG in the past 3 seasons?

And all of those names you mentioned love the Sens and picked them as major Eastern contenders,. Do you guys even follow hockey?

If you don't know the difference between kissing a teams ass and calling them a contender, then I don't know if we can help you.

Geezus, who gives a flying crap about the Leafs?

Take it to a Leafs forum.

Let's get back to bashing the greasers.

You don't get extra points for not playing all the games.

Yeah we follow hockey unlike yourself who seems to only follow the Leafs.

The Sens are viewed by the Toronto media as a contender.

Phil Kessel is the 4th leading scorer in the entire NHL the past 2 years with TYLER FREAKING BOZAK as his centre, but he barely cracks the top 50? This is a freaking joke.

There's a big difference between 4th best scorer with Bozak and top 30 with Tavares...

I can't take anyone seriously who could say right now Kessel isn't a top 30 NHL forward. On another other team he's getting his butt kissed right now.
No, you're right bro. Everyone but you is wrong about the Leafs.

Find one credible opinion to back yours up, go ahead.

Bergeron is a better player, and if you think otherwise, you either don't watch hockey and shouldn't bother calling yourself a fan, or you're a huge troll who is out to say ridiculous things just to get into spats.

Seriously, how do you justify your opinions when actual professionals in the NHL don't agree with them?

Oh right, you must know better....

The leafs are a disappointment to Canada, so the media has moved on to greener pastures.

Ever thought about a Karlsson jersey? Best Dman in Ontario.

Bergeron is better than Kessel wow. Bergeron isn't even a top line player. Defense gets very overrated these days.

Bergeron is not the best centre on his own team.

And what I meant was, most guys in the Toronto media did not grow up in Toronto.

And you want to know who was kissing Ottawa's ass? Everyone. Everyone in the "Toronto Media" said they were major contenders in the East and said what a star Bobby Ryan is. You seriously are surprised to hear this? The media loves Ottawa.
What exactly do you think the Olympic team based on if not Olympic play?

And have addressed Lupul's play in the NHL multiple times in this thread. I have said he needs to do it in a larger sample size over an 82 game season to start to be included amongst the very best forwards. Also as mentioned before his NHL defensive play could easily use some work as well to be considered higher than he currently is.

I haven't heard a single guy in the TO media say "what a star Bobby Ryan is." I have heard them say that he would help the Senators this year and an improvement over what they had last year which doesn't seem crazy.

ESPN had the Sens in the top 10 pre-season and picked them to win the Atlantic does that mean they are part of the Toronto lead love affair with the Sens? Or maybe thinking the Sens will do well this year is what most hockey experts think and has nothing to do with some BS Toronto media agenda against the Leafs. Even if they do think the Sens will contend that isn't close to "kissing their ass."

And Patrice Bergeron is a better player than Phil Kessel everyday of the week. Team Canada has been glad that he plays for them (although I know getting the best hockey players together means nothing at the NHL level and is based solely on pixie dust and lollipops) and I am sure the Bruins were just fine with overrating his defensive play for their two recent trips to the SCF.

Phil Kessel got a pity car because nobody wanted to pick him for their All-Star team.
