Prefer the jersey without black, but it would be decent if it didn't have a wordmark, and just the flaming C, preferably a white one to make it different then our current home ones. I do like the striping, and no flags, much better than our current jersey. With the wordmark its a fail

First, the CALGARY FLAMES sent an email to season ticket holders last night, inviting them to the first ever Flames Fest on Oct. 27. And getting a starring role at the event will be the unveiling of the team's new third jersey. (In fact, it's mentioned four times in the email!)
Specifically, the jersey will be officially unveiled at 1:30 PM MT (or 12:30 PT, 3:30 ET). Of course, if you can't wait, there's always that leak from a couple weeks ago.

$4 to get in, but you save $30+ on the jersey.
You also get to listen to what is basically a town hall by Burke, meet some players, watch our CWHL team a little, watch a Flames practice and potentially win prizes.
Nickel and dime my ass.

$4 dollars? not sure where they came up with that number... might as well be free, cheap asses....
Town Halls with prizes are always free + they include food and bevys, practices are also always free, the third jersey will be dicounted at the christmas & season ticket holder sales.
$4 is annoying, and why the 4 ticket max? they want less attendees?

IF they do it like they did the 2003 jersey reveal, it won't exactly be at centre ice, but in one of the media areas. Limited space means limited ticket availability.

If they're free, more people would sign up for the tickets and then choose not to go. $4 at least creates some level of commitment (you're wasting $4+ if you buy them and don't show up).

I assume they do it at $4 so they can control and maybe limit the amount of people attending.
If you think it’s too expensive (LOL!) then don’t go. My guess is it’ll be a good time. Discounted merchandise, Burke answering questions, and probably loads of giveaways and maybe even some free food. They used to do these Fan events back in the 90’s and they were way more expensive than $4 back then.

The ticket max is likely for the same reason they only sell a certain amount of tickets to each hockey game. There is a limited amount of room. If you are complaining over $4, I'm not sure you should be calling the team the cheap ass.

I am going cause I love these things. Confused to why they would want to not just open the doors and say come on down. Are they going to pay ushers to scan us all in.
Get as many fans as possible, and sell as many of these new jerseys as they can. Get as many kids out to meet the players as they can. I remember that is how I was hooked as a fan for life as a young kid.
Funny enough, I am more curious to see the presentation now that it's so exclusive. Maybe a marketing trick!
