Did that Avs commercial just say that Ray Bourque hoisting the Cup was the single greatest moment in Stanley Cup history? Yikes.
It was neat I guess, but him spending his whole career in Boston just to get dealt to a powerhouse so he could win a Cup kind of tainted it for me. Certainly far from the greatest moment.

I can't take these Avalanche announcers rubbing one out behind the the mic. A broadcast needs a home town slant. That means content and pieces that focus on the home team but these guys are cheer leaders on a Kevin Quinn Gene Principe level.
Now imagine how they'd react if Mackinnon ever scored 4 goals.
Man looking at the standings is a little depressing. We have gotten 8 points out of a possible 10 and we would still be in 6th place if they used the old standings.
Really wish the East would start beating the Western conference teams.

As of the 13th:
Marc Crawford @TsnMarcCrawford
At current winning percentage it will take 109 pts to make the playoffs in the West and 82 pts to make it in East

The Flames have also only played 5 games...less than almost anyone
The Avs commentators are way too emotionally invested. It's pretty funny.
Nothing wrong with that except when you're the ones calling the games. It just comes off as very unprofessional. Rob Kerr just about takes it to the limit some nights, but makes up for it somewhat with enthusiastic calls the other way too. Also, him and Simmer like to throw a lot of compliments out to individual players on the opposition team typically the whole way through, regardless of what's happening in the game.
My folks can't stand Simmer though. I've learned to tune him out, but talk about a broken record. Dude possibly has one of the most monotone and simultaneously irritating voices on TV. Not to mention he starts off a comment with the same phrase almost every time.
