The Avs broadcast team has been like that for years. Even if I was an Avs fan, that would put me off of watching the games. Its absolutely embarrassing.
I would say the Avs are my other favourite team. They were my team growing up and I try to catch their games whenever I can (I feel less conflicted cheering for them now that they are out of the Flames' division).
I try and never watch the Avs' broadcast. It's bad.
I didn't even know an entire broadcast could be this bad. Every single play the Avs make is some miraculous spectacle.
I watched the Avs make a run-of-the-mill backhand pass, and the reaction, to a T, was the play-by-play guy laughing with delight, unable to control his almost hysterical excitement, commenting on "a BRILLIANT! pass".
Seriously, the most unnoticeable pass, this is incredible.
Congratulations to the oilers, who are the first team to 30 GA. It only took them 15 days from when the season started! At this pace they are shooting for 374 goals! The 80's are truly back in Edmonton.

By the by, the Stars have moved Sequin back to the middle after the Bruins had him playing mostly the wing... he's looked great. 7 points in 5 games now, looking every bit the first line centre he was going to be when drafted.
