Philly's coaching change hasn't helped all that much. The team is still playing pretty terribly.

they need to make a deal, Mason wasn't even the problem tonight but I do think they need a better goalie overall

Oilers are well on their way to a1 win in their first 10 games start which could literally kill their playoff hopes.

I have to believe with the amount of confusion that the Oilers are playing with and the whole nailing Yakapov to the bench, suddenly the hot seat is on Eakins. If they start with 1 or 2 wins in their first 20 games, I wouldn't be surprised to see Eakins fired and MacT behind the bench.
He might be the wrong coach for this terrible group of players.

I don't think Eakins is going anywhere. The Oilers have been through enough coaches - and depth players, for that matter - the last little while.

The next move is a shake-up trade.

They've gone through so many coaches that you have to think Lowe might actually get the axe. Then again it is EDM and they never seem to do the right thing. Maybe we should start cheering for a 2 game win streak so they don't change anything?
