Considering the real CivicCamp says this:
CCVO ‏@nonprofitvoice 2h Don't be fooled - the real @civiccamp is at http://civiccamp.org . #yycvote

I would have to say that working collaboratively wasn't in the cards.

So disingenuous.

I had no idea face lifts could effect the brain this much.

In business mergers, acquisitions and takeovers only happen with the consent of the owners of the company(shareholders).

I sincerely doubt you have any sort of consent from the original civic camp. I don't especially disagree with your politics, but if you had good intentions for municipal dialogue you'd take a different name. It's not like there's a shortage of available names.

Can you sum up in one sentence what your objective is with this project?

Involvement in the actual CivicCamp is completely open. That's the beauty of it. You can use it as a platform to be an active citizen on an issue you care about. You could have two groups within the "organization" that are diametrically opposed in perspective. For instance there's a TransitCamp through CivicCamp one could start a group with differing mobility objectives or priorities altogether.

Why not try that instead of denigrating?

Hopefully this helps some people get some information on what these people think about various issues before you head to the polls!
The guy running against the incumbant in my ward is obsessed with internet schooling. This election will be the first one where I actually care about school trustee. Can't say I'm a big fan of the idea of internet schooling. Maybe that's old fashioned, and maybe I just haven't thought about it too much, but at first glance, I don't like the idea.

I think attending school with actual people is extremely important to child development. I know he's saying that just some courses should be internet based, but I still don't like it. Kids need to be around kids, and under actual supervision of teachers. Good teachers are what inspire kids. For example, I remember my 20/30 Social teacher, Mr. Tomochko. What an awesome teacher. He kept me interested in that subject because his personality, and his great teaching skills. I can imagine that a subject like Social would be the kind of subject that would theoretically become an internet based subject, and I think it would seriously take away from the class.

Tomochko was awesome at getting discussions going in class. Students would ask questions and as a group, more learning was done. And the wicked stories and tangents he'd go off on just made the class one that I never wanted to skip. Because I know what I gained from that class, I can only imagine how crappy it would have been if that class was some boring click screen lesson that I took sitting in front of a screen.

Sorry for the long post.

TL;DR, I was just rambling.

Honestly who cares, Cory likes getting his face in the paper. The fact they live in Priddis should be enough to easily dismiss the whole stunt. Treat them as attention seekers, by engaging them all you do is give them the satisfaction of getting a rise out of everyone.

The entire thing could have been avoided if CivicCamp™ had registered as a non-profit, sort of amateur to let some right wing gang of showoffs put them in this situation.

Registering a very similar web address and using a very similar logo, this is the only possible reason.

Only possible reason, period.

This is a society, with members rather than shareholders. Similar. Some examples:

Wildrose & Alberta Alliance mergered - after great debate.

The Alberta Party experienced a quiet takeover - by many of those involved with CC.org I might add.

Very sad First Lady.

Take the site down or change the name and logos to something that can't be confused for intentionally trying mislead people.

As the site stands it is extremely unethical. As someone who ran for public office, you should know better.

What is your objective in using the same name, similar web address, similar logo, similar colour scheme?

And, be honest this time.

If I want to vote against uquhart who has the best chance of beating her. Honestly I dont care what the other person policies are I just want someone who stands for something instead of a chemeleon who does nothing. I though it was hilariously representitive of her useless time on council that in Rick Bells who votes to spend money she came in at exactly 50%.

Anyway do any of the other people running have a chance?

There's a difference between what the Alberta Government requires you to fill out on a form, and what actually is your objectives. You clearly have an objective again Civic Camp, and I'd like to hear what your objective is by mimicking them and providing candidate grades.

Please stop with the political paperwork roundabout. If you're trying to influence people that is the complete wrong way to go about it. I shouldn't have to tell someone like you this very basic concept.

So are you lying now or was Corey lying to Markusoff?

Because it seems as though you did this as a big hilarious joke.
