It's crazy that the Colts even have a chance at this game. They have been completely outplayed in every aspect tonight. Goes to show just how important it is to get TD's when you get to the redzone

Chargers should go for it and kill off the game. They have been pounding it all night successfully

if you kick and miss you give them 8 more yards

Colts run d is embarrassing. They got lit up by the 49ers, Seahawks and now the Chargers. They need Landry back badly

Clutch kick ices it more or less. Great game tonight by the Chargers, very pedestrian one for the Colts.

I think the Colts got a little too high off that huge win last week and maybe overlooked this game a bit.

very uncharacteristic game by the Chargers, their defense played well, and the offense was balanced and ate a lot of clock... best effort I have seen from them in a long time.

Chargers are a tough team to figure out. At times they have looked really good like tonight, the game against Dallas, and the game against the Eagles. I suppose the only bad game they've had this year is last week against the Raiders. They showed more offensive balance tonight than they have had for a couple of seasons, and their defence played pretty well. I think they will go 4-0 against the NFC East, and as a result will have a chance to post a 9-7 record.

Really if you analyze the AFC, there could be a lot of teams in play for the 2nd Wild card seed. Denver and New England look like locks to win their Divisions. I think the Chiefs should end up with 10-11 wins. Then for me it becomes a matter of which one of San Diego, Tennessee, Baltimore, or Miami find a way to stand out. Even teams like Indy, or Cincinatti if they can't secure their Divisions could be in that 9-10 win range.

Frustrating loss tonight. Receivers dropped so many passes tonight. Still 1st in the division and Tennessee goes to SF this week so I think we'll still be 1st even if we lose to Denver.

what we saw tonight is far from the real Colts. Beat Seattle last week, play Denver next week, I would bet that this game, even though they wouldnt admit it, was overlooked big time from this Colts team.

They've beaten the 49ers and Seahawks.. Indy seems like they play better against top teams.

Great to see the Chargers shut down the vaunted Colts LOL. Dont know where they found the running game but seems that is the recipe to beating the ponies. Not a chance does Indy beat Denver. Manning is on the same mission that Brady was on a few years ago.

I'm predicting 500 yards and 7 TDs for Peyton Sunday. Colts fans you can thank your "Idiot, liquored-up owner" for the upcoming ass kicking .

Quote:
“We’ve changed our model a little bit, because we wanted more than one of these,” Irsay said, referring to his Super Bowl XLI ring. “[Tom] Brady never had consistent numbers, but he has three of these. Pittsburgh had two, the Giants had two, Baltimore had two and we had one. That leaves you frustrated.

“You make the playoffs 11 times, and you’re out in the first round seven out of 11 times. You love to have the Star Wars numbers from Peyton and Marvin [Harrison] and Reggie [Wayne]. Mostly, you love this.”

And again, Irsay pointed to the ring.

Yes, all he did was save your franchise, give you a fan base and a new stadium. Irsay really needs to learn when to shut his mouth.

How about that DHBust? He's on pace for about 400 yards receiving this season which is poor for a #2 receiver. That 60 yard TD he dropped is classic DHB and the reason he was cut. Guy's a heartbreaker blessed with size and speed and cursed with lobster claws for hands.

Denver kind of reminds me of the Dick Vermiel Chiefs. Awesome offense, horrible defense. The way teams would beat those Chiefs was by controlling the time of possesion. Even though they could easily score, they wanted to keep the high octane Chiefs offense off the field. So they would slowly chew away yards, eating up the clock, keeping the Chiefs offense on the bench. Shannahan's Broncos did it best, and it was frustrating as hell to watch them eat the clock away and the Chiefs D could do nothing to stop them.

I'm curious as hell to see how these Chiefs fare against the Broncos. Broncos can score at will. Chiefs have an awesome defense, but lack offensive fire power. Will be awesome to see if Andy Ried can exploit Denver's weakness.

Well we'll see if Von Miller makes a difference with the Bronco's defence. If they get a pass rusher who can cause havoc, that will result in the other team being in a lot of third and longs and able to cause more turn overs. They are a defence who may give up some points. But the combination of a team that has to pass to catch up with a dangerous pass rusher able to attack every down, can become a formula for turnovers, which in turn keeps getting the ball back to Manning.

The Vermeil Chiefs offence lacked two key things that the Bronco's have...a Peyton Manning calibre QB, and the WR corps that Denver has. Those Chief teams really were a dominating offensive line with a great running back in Holmes plus a fantastic full back to plow the way in Tony Richardson, and Tony Gonzalez as the receiving threat. The other pieces like Johnny Morton, Eddy Kennison, and Trent Green were really average players in a great system. The Bronco's offensive line is good, but I don't think it's as good as what the Chiefs marched out, they don't have the same calibre of backfield, and Julius Thomas as good as he is...probably isn't Tony Gonzalez. But Manning, Demarius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Eric Decker to me are far superior to what Vermeil had.

I'll be interested to see how the Chiefs match up with Denver. I think they'll have to play the game in a nickel package of some sort, and it will come down to whether the group of Tyson Jackson, Tamba Hali, Dontari Poe, and Justin Houston can beat out the Denver offensive line, and good good enough coverage from the secondary to take away the Bronco's weapons. I think Derrick Johnson can easily spy Denvers running backs and keep them in check. Sutton was a part of those Jet's defences that seemed to give Manning trouble in Indy, and with the Chiefs he has guys in Flowers, Smith, and Berry who can play man coverage. Even the young corners Cooper, and Demps have played pretty well. Ultimately though...a defence that holds Denver to 28 points did a hell of a job....question is can the Chiefs offence do anything? They reallly have not been very good for a lot of the year outside of Jamaal Charles. The line has to start playing much better.
