Wouldn't be surprised to see the Oilers still win this game or at least make it interesting.

Washington is prone to defensive breakdowns and really they haven't been all that impressive so far - just have capitalized on a couple of PP chances.

Last year I kept thinking, this Oilers team might be the worst I've ever seen play in the NHL. This year they may be even worse, no structure, no goaltending, clueless everything. An epic disaster.

Hopefully yakupov is quoted in the paper tomorrow saying something like: "we would have won those 2 games had I been playing"

How bad can it get for the Oilers? When are they ever going to address their glaring need for capable goaltending and a defensive structure.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has played 25, 25 and 28 minutes his last three games since coming back. He is again playing the the 2nd most minutes on his team tonight, he's only behind J. Schultz. This complete unwarranted, unbalanced, misallocation of ice time confuses me.

Hey at least Boyd Gordon is earning his 3 million! Aside from that everyone else on their team has been outright terrible.

So it must take at least a few weeks to have Oilers stank drag down players from other teams.

You just knew Hall, rather than shoot the puck at the net, would try his stupid all star toe drag. And not even get a shot on net. LOL

Most shots in a season by a caps defender?

Scott Stevens is my guess.

For those not watching the broadcast, please be aware that the Oilers are out shooting the Caps, this is very important.

I'd really hate for the Oilers to ruin Reinhart or Ekblad like they runied Hall, Nuge and Yakupov....

Cheap shot by Ovechkin. No need to throw a hissy fit OV that was a good defensive play by Ference.
