Default What video games are you into?

lately, I've been playing a lot of Grandia III. Great RPG with good character development, an AWESOME battle system, and just breathtaking environments.

Also love the Final Fantasy series. Currently playing 11 at the moment. If any of you have a Calgary Linkshell on the Cerebur server, PM me.

I've also been playing a bit of Tomb Raider Legend and Galactic Civilizations II. Both are pretty cool in their own right.

Lately it's been Top Spin 2 and Madden 06 for the 360. But frankly I'm just passing time until Dead Rising comes out.

I drool over zombies...frankly.

I just picked up God of War for PS2 and it kicks arse so far. Other games I've played recently are Fight Night Round 3 and of course NHL '06 rears it's head every now and again.

I have been playing Oblivion at home and some ps2 games. I like NHL 06 but have no one to play it with. No fun beating the computer over and over again.

At work I play SNES roms on the crappy 4 year old iMac.

I'm a draftsperson by career, so I am very lineal, and SimCity4 satisfies my urge to plan!

SimCity4? God, I hate that game! It takes up WAAAY more system resources than it should, and even on a top-of-the-line computer, it still drags. I installed it, played it for about a week, then switched back to SimCity 3000 Unlimited.

So do I.

Still going strong on World of Warcraft as well. Level 60 Pally and Druid, level 24 Warlock. Helps that a couple of my other friends just got into the game.

I've been playing a lot of the old NES/SNES RPGs that have been ported onto gameboy lately: Final Fantasy IV, Breath of Fire, Dragon Warrior. Classic games rule.

I actually havent been playing any lately since helping make a game has taken up most of my free time. The last two games I did play though were finally getting around to finishing Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood and Half Life 2. I played The Movies for a while but that got old after a week or so.

*EDIT*

Add FEAR to the list. Me and a guy I know on MSN were actually planning on making a mod for it but the FEAR SDK doesnt allow you to add custom characters so we decided to not do it since the mod would have had a bunch of custom characters in it.

I loved Sim City 4 but had to physically get rid of it. That game has a crack-like effect on me. Constantly planning my next subdivision... just a few more simoleons! Now look, wouldn't this be a good place to run a few more subway lines or a freeway.... etc.

With what little spare time I have, I fly IL2 Sturmovik online with a friend. We're flying a cooperative campaign spanning the entire second world war. Currently in late 1941 in North Africa. I've got the sound wired so the surround goes through my speakers and the VOIP through my headphone/mic. I also use TrackIR, which makes it hugely immersive.

A token screenshot from while we were fighting over Normandy earlier in '41:
