I really liked the purple/black third jersey they had just before they changed over to the current look:

I'm all for nostalgia and all, but it's only be 7 years since they wore the purple/eggplant jerseys.

That "Wild Wing" on Hiller's mask however is fantastic. Ranks right up there with his "Movember" mask from a couple years ago (complete with a Corey Perry Hitler-stache IIRC).

Why, because I like the jersey? Except for the original 6 they're one of the best jerseys the league's had.

Definitely a lot of love for the old logo (I hate the new one... a lot) but I also don't think black should be any teams primary jersey colour. Boston is the obvious exception to this, but I've also seen some brown/yellow concepts that look incredible and would look much better than their black/gold they have now.

The Photoshop looks miles better than what they currently wear, but it still screams 'bland' compared to the eggplant/jade beauties they rocked tonight. They were such unique and attractive team colours they tossed aside.

If Dallas can be any indication this year, infusing your team with colour isn't a bad thing. Despite their awkwardly weighted logo, they look amazing.

The Ducks should bring these out again when they play the Panthers...and hopefully Florida will have something similar to their original jerseys as well.
