Watch the puck at all times, not the players (beginners). For more advanced goaltenders, watching the play is essential, this is how you can predict what could happen next. For example, if a player is coming down the left wing on you, and there is a player at the right corner of your crease, you should play a bit further back in your net in case the player decides to pass the puck. By just watching the puck, you lose a lot of what is going on. As you develop you should always be looking around you to see what a players options are. Your job is not to guess what will happen, but to know how many options the player with the puck has, and as you develop you will have a sense for what options the player will most likely take. That being said, you should never lose sight of the puck, and you should always be prepared for a shot.

I would have to say that the nonchalance and relaxed nature of turning back to the net is something else. He's just not playing the game, day-dreaming. That being said, there is no offensive threat.
I think we can all agree Luongo needs out of Vancouver badly. It's just not meant to be in the stars.
Can't pin this one on Luon8o, but I love how much of a dork Hamhuis was about the whole thing.
Pump the puck into your own net, stand over the goalie you just screwed over, and skate away without a word. Boy, are the Canucks beauties. You could tell the entire rest of the game that Luongo was absolutely pissed off.

You can't really blame either lou or the defensmen....they're terrible, this is kind of expected from them isn't it? I'm just suprised no one faked an injury on the play

I'd guess or at least hope that he'd have handled it differently if his teammate had come over and apologized when it happened. As is, though, I can't blame Louongo for the way he answered that question.
Yeah kinda looked like Hamhuis was trying to pin it on him right after the play. I really dont think Gillis had a gauge of the room when he decided to trade Schneider.
