Jiri Hudler is such an important part of this team.

Love the effort by Backlund and Bouma.

Wait until Porier and Klimchuk get here.

Insanely good play by Sven on the GWG.

The whole team is buying in to whatever it is Hartley is selling and its paying off in a huge way.

So nice to watch after the black cloud of the last few years.

Loving this.

Just a completely different vibe to the team than the last 3 or 4 years.

I don't believe it.

They are just playing extremely hard. No other way to say it. Bouma blocking shots in the third was very much symbolic of tonight's game. It was different than the first four, much tighter and much more, well...Devils hockey. But the Flames got better as the night went on. It was the first time they were stale in the first but they were good in the second and extremely good in the third. Make no mistake, Devils were a desperate team tonight looking for their first win, but by the third period, the Flames played with more urgency. It's just unbelievable given how not hard the Flames worked the last decade.

Monahan was not so noticeable tonight but his goal happened in large part because he planted the seeds in that great play getting the puck up to the blueline. And a brilliant dish by Baertschi who I thought was good all night.

Blueline was outstanding. Each of the top 4 D played extremely hard and contributed in a variety of ways. Best the team has played in the D zone in the five games. Lots of bending but very little breaking. And when things fell apart, Bouma blocked a bunch of shots. Put that guy in the top nine.

Backlund has quietly been the most important player for the Flames through five games. Doing everything you need to be successful. Has come a long way and is turning into a premiere 3rd line center.

Glencross getting better each game in terms of his overall, three zone game. He needs some better linemates to produce more offensively.

Hudler far and away the most dangerous Flame. He's an interesting player because he has so much offensive ability but moves very poorly for a top six guy. Still, on the cycle and on the powerplay, he is very effective.

Fourth line was good tonight for the first time this season. Colbourne showed some nice glimpses and maybe we see him a bit more going forward.

I don't know what else to say. It's just unbelievable what's been going on. Maybe they can get a body or two back by Wednesday because there's no way they can keep this up...that said, there's no way they could be 3-0-2, but working hard is just so so important. Hate to sound like a broken record but as it pertains to working hard, I don't hate it. Thrilled to watch a team that plays hard.

Monorail!!!
Nice come from behind win and a big penalty kill at the end to bail out the captain
Drinks are on Gio tonight

Scared that Backlund could be seriously hurt though

Great win by the Flames. What a pass by Sven.

And Bouma, wow!

I didn't catch most of the game on TV, but did those mullet Jagrs show up for the game?

Those guys are awesome.

I wonder how Mike Cammilleri coming back will change the dynamic?

I think he will make them more dangerous in the offensive zone, and the defensive zone.
