One can only hope.
Seriously though, I thought it was best for him to go back down to the OHL and dominate there, but he seems to be doing just fine here in the NHL. I think he stays up for the rest of the season.

Agree. I don't really know if many coaches would take that chance and run with it. That may be the benefit of zero expectations and nothing to lose in a young season.

That would be incredible. Personally, I anticipate Gaudreau potentially making a bigger top-line impact in the same mould as Kane, more so than Baertschi. But if he also pans out, then the Flames suddenly have a potentially fantastic 1-2 line punch starting to develop for the future:
Monahan · Gaudreau
Baertschi · Jankowski(?)
It's real easy to get excited about the future right now.
