So it's official, Glencross is the new whipping boy? Just want to make sure I'm irrationally picking on the right player.
That's what happens when one or two person does not like the player or just want him traded for the heck of it. They'll keep badmiuthing the player. I really think Glencross is an important player for the Flames. He is not a Crosby-important player or even an Iggy-important player but he is a good player. He is not afraid to stand in front of the net, play defensively, hit anyone and won't back down to anyone. He can be an agitator too. The guy got a good touch and score some goals (pretty goals or garbage goals).

My problem is this is supposed to be a rebuilding year and we brought in 2 goaltenders from Europe to see what they can do. We should be playing Ramo a lot to see if he has the right stuff to a regular in this league.
I saw Street go out on that last PP and win a face off that basically killed the rest of the game. Funny how everyone seems to be all over him when he had as much to do with the win as anyone else not named Joey
We don't care about winning! Play the rookies we care about! Rabble, Rabble!

For those that aren't reading the Sean Frickin Monahan thread yet (what's wrong with you!?), this is on the main NHL webpage as the quote of the day.
"I just, sometimes, pinch myself wondering if I need to check his birth certificate. The poise that he's showing for an 18-year-old kid ... he's having fun. He's bringing passion, he's bringing excitement and he's learning. He's a pretty special kid." - Calgary coach Bob Hartley

I want to see Ramo succeed but if he can't beat Mac then crap happens. The coaches see these guys every day so I'll trust their judgement.

“@SUNGilbertson: Another Hartley gem: "If they read everything that some of you guys wrote on us (before the season), I was scared that some would retire."”

The logic of not playing Ramo tonight seems clear enough to me. With the audience expecting the second coming of Kiprusoff and dissecting his every move, its best to give Ramo minutes on the road.
Besides for all the crap MacDonald gets - he is getting the job done.
